Tata Organisation
by krishnamoorthy jayaram on Dec 28, 2012 12:52 PM  | Hide replies

I worked in a Tata Organisaton ( Tata Steel) for nearly 24 yrs after a stint of 14 yrs service in IAF.
i can confidentally say that Tata Steel is one of the ethical organisation of Tata Sons which was lead during my time by Mr JRD Tata, Mr Rissy Modi & MR Ratan Tata. All were extraordinary persons ( leaders ) blessed with humility, principles and humanity . I consider myself fortunate to work in such a organisation under their commanderdship.

Ratan Tata - The BEST
by Arvind Joshi on Dec 28, 2012 12:46 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Ratan Tata has not only carried forward the legacy of TATA group but also added GEMS like TCS, TATA Motors (NANO, Jaguar/Land Rover) to it. His vision is Excellent for INDIA.
He should be given BHARAT RATNA and should have to be made Deputy CHairman of Planning Commision with immediate effect.
After Pranab Da's stint he should be supported by all the Indian parties to become PRESIDENT OF INDIA.

If we have persons like Tata At the helm of affairs instead of Italian sonia and Her chela Singh we would have been ina far more better position in international politics, how many of us know Ratan refused to supply tata trucks to Paki because they will be used against india in some way or other

It is the first time we are realizing that 70%of Tata group profits are going into public welfare through Trusts. How many other industrial houses are doing like this.

Yes Don, do elaborate!

If you keep making accusations like these without "Indian" being able to defend his master, "Indian" won't get paid by the Tata and Sons HR department!

TOO LATE FOR RETIREMENT
by rama rao on Dec 28, 2012 12:03 PM  | Hide replies

Retiring at 75 is not so good. It should have been earlier. It is only a self imposing decision. Politician can do the retirement when they reach maximum of 65 years of age. Then these gentlemen can guide their followers. This would be good for the Nation, family of such citizens.

Plus and Minus
by Sandy on Dec 28, 2012 11:56 AM

Although it should be credited to Ratan Tata for taking the group truly global with takeovers like Jaguar and Corus plus immense progress made by all other group companies globally like Tata tea and TCS in particular. But he should also take the blame for denting the ethical image of Tata Group with their involvement in land grab charges in Singur,Kerala, Payments made to ULFA in Assam and Nira Radia scandal and the joke of appointing the next chairman with a Global search with much noise and fanfare and ending up in his own backyard with Cyrus.

Wishing him all the very best to Cyrus Mistry as a Chairman and wishes for a wonderful retired life for Mr Ratan Tata.
