India in crisis
by muthu samy on Dec 11, 2012 10:18 PM  | Hide replies

India is already in crisis, who said it is heading for crisis? But I only wish this crisis worsens sooner than latter to an extent that we realise our real worth. India need a war or atleast a civil war led by a powerful military leader. If not democracy will take another 100 years to mature in India and we will always have a very poor standard of life....using the shop on the road and using the transformer as the toilet. The judiciary in a democracy will say that is a constitutional right....

Dr Manmohan was one of the best beureocrat we had but he couldnot do any good to improve the state of Indian people .It is not the failure of Dr singh, it is the failure of Indian democracy...It is better to sell ourselves to the foreign nations than live the way we live now....U are better off in chennai..please come and see the way people live in Mumbai

Dear Author...Let some western concepts come in in what ever form it comes...otherwise we will end our lives the way we lived last 60 years...

Completely agree. India must be ruled by the British again. I wish it happens soon. They built roads, railways, etc and governed the place well. Few ppl got killed but that is ok. Rest of the society benefited immensely. We learnt English, cricket, the list is soo long.

We need reforms in governance
by Vijay Kumar on Dec 11, 2012 10:16 PM

The govt. should stress on removing corruption rather than trying to appease MNC's. The govt wants money to buy votes for the next elections

This article is a breath of fresh air. It is all about choices. We Indians, have a choice. Once every 5 years. To listen to secular, socialist agenda set by the party in power and the various regional satraps or dicate an agenda which forces politicians to start thinking long term and govern the country properly. What we need is a much more inclusive development where the money spent actually gets used for development. Stop the handouts. Build infrastructure. Remove laws that stand in the way of entrepreneurship. Apply all laws uniformly. Ensure law and order. Will I ever see this in my lifetime?

Not just economic, but we are headed towards governance and

social chaos - this is resulting complete lack of leadership and guts to take tough decisions in dealing with corruption, which is eating our society like a cancer. Social issues because of disparity between the haves and have nots. The 70% of our people live on Rs50/day where as the top richest people have over 50% of the wealth; The rural urban divide causing unsustainable migration to unplanned decaying cities. Also, the western consumerism is degrading the value system of simple and living withing ones limit, causing stress and health issues.

we need modi & Dr swamy.

why congress won't be able to stop narendra modi.
1) Narendra means King of people in (Sanskrit. that means even if government, congress, media keep on hating modi..., modi will come back on peoples power. Even if that means on 60% votes.
2) Modi means change and development in (Sanskrit). that means he will keep on doing development no matter what people call him and on that basis bring on change in their approach towards life.
3) Change hear even means, change in policy, change in relationship, change in work culture everything..., we will be having a better relation in policy with china and srilanka...., even US and Europe will also have to bend due to his development plane.
time for dynastic politics to go..., India to live as one nation under NAMO.

Doomed
by Vish on Dec 11, 2012 06:11 PM  | Hide replies

With a huge overflowing population and abysmal quality of life India is doomed. Sadly many Indians believe that high salaries, cars in the garage and high property prices indicate wealth, when actually it is clean air and water, clean surroundings, stress free life, access to quality healthcare, education and recreation that makes a nation rich.
