very well said Mr. It's the right time that Odisha to take lead in all fronts.Good manner big state , Industry , Manufacturing , Agriculture , Tourism. But the main bottleneck is the one party which never wants India nor any state to be world class.

Odisha and Gujarat
by Sudeeptya Sarkar on Sep 02, 2012 02:17 PM  | Hide replies

Odisha and Gujarat are among the top to attract FDI. These are also among the top in terms of people with Hindu Right-wing, fundamentalist mindset. What an example of how religious fascism and unchecked, destructive and greedy capitalism can go hand in hand while vast tracts of ecology and triballands are plundered for obscene corporate profits and where dailts and tribals are discriminated everyday(Read Odisha). One doesn't need to be an evil Maoist or an opportunist Commie to know this but needs just to be a sane human being.

Kerala - a sad story
by thomas mathew on Sep 01, 2012 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Kerala, with the highest human index, highest lietracy ( not education) lies at 20/28 in FDI and may be even lower when it comes to investment in industries because of the wretched state of political affairs when the state is rules by Congress led UDF government and CPM led LDF with vestiges of BJP , all spending 100% time blaming each other and back stabbing ,and making money by all illegal means , creating scams after scams . One government tries to bring in investors but filled with mepotism, hipocracy and bribes, and the other front led by a party which is anti-development and based on goonda raj and stays rooted in the stalinist era , with BJP trying to be the jackal who wants to drink the blood of the two fighting sheep and few other minor factions like NSS and SNDP with their own agendas of power and money politics and Muslim league ensconed in rapr cases and money laundering and even alleged to side with extremist groups and Kerala Congress the party with bribery and land mafia as their motto. How then will people flourish in the state and the state flourish industrially or otherwise . Life blood is provided by the NRIs who transform their blood into sweat and feed the state and there is the great thief PC sitting as finance minister and tax their remittance , thereby trying to stop the life blood from flowing into the state. There are signs of this state being destroyed completely unless people decide to change the system that prevails .

what is FDI proposal?
by Amithkumar on Aug 30, 2012 05:51 PM  | Hide replies

people reading this news should understand first this is just a proposal. Final investment destination will change that nobody knows. Same company will propose in every state to invest. This we cant take it as a real growth.

We definitely understand these as proposals only and also know that no industry is set without proposal Home grown or Foreign. Again FDI successfully carried out will definitely be helpful in real growth.
