Dear Mr. Pawar, why go through so much trouble like allowing creation of a factory so people can prosper a tiny bit - I have an easier option for you - just stop looting the state and the country....India will be very indebted to you. If you are really sincere, you will first quit ICC & Cricket, central govt ministry, go back to your sugar belt and serve the poor

Well said ...if the scooter is made by end user for his own use there will be no excise.

Mr. Pawar, I would be happy if reservation is implemented in Government MPs first and in pvt. companies later.... else, you want to make pvt. companies work like public companies too - shambles, just like BCCI and your sugar mills.
I wonder whether sccoters are still preferred by the single riders. The motor bike has driven the scooter from the market. In fact Bajaj moved over to manufacturing motor bikes a long time ago. Today the SUVs are preferred for the country roads. I don't think Piaggio is seriously contemplating for the Indian market. It is just some form of market advertisement to make sure that the public still remembers this company.
