Far from a smart politician, he was also a SEER, he forcasted rise of China in the 1950a when we weren't even born and knew India would benefit from the same forging a relationship with China not of friendship but BROTHERHOOD, no less and we all are reaping rewards TODAY !

I WILL ALWAYS VOTE TO CONGRESS TILL MY DEATH.

India would never grow cos of people like you. It was his narrow sightedness that we lost the war to them, he din't see this coming.Price of His decision on Kashmir is still paid by innocent Indians like us.It's his dynasty that moulded in socialist mindset guided by Krishan Menon. IN whose name a road adjacent to Army head quarter exist that din't let us use Air force against Chinese attack on tibet and INdia and we lost the single lost INdia has faced ever in a war.I will never vote these power hungry people. everyone is power hungry there.even now they have closed there eyes towards chinese intrusions on LAC and Tibet.

China becomes modern days East Indian Company
by sam raj on Sep 28, 2011 08:00 AM

China becomes modern days East Indian Company, they import raw materials from across the world and export finished goods at a Cheaper price.

The trade deficit with China is widening day-by-day which is not good for Indian industry. We should be expanding our trade tie-ups with ASE-AN countries and not with China, they seems to be a cunning trade partner.

Chinese industry is making fake medicine in the name of Indian brands, their goods are getting stamped with "Made in xyz" country to cheat the end customers. Using the pearl strings ports created around India, Chinese are targeting Indian markets around the borders, Chinese goods export may happen as if we are importing from our neighboring countries.

Fundamentally, Chinese are not a fair trade partner for India, they are cunning, hackers, having hidden agenda on every moves including 1965 tragedy. It is better to have a trade partnership with ASI-AN countries who are capable of supplying all the goods supplied by China at the same price with better quality

Ajit Ranade is paid by the Chinese

I am sure this AV Birla group executive is paid by the Chinese to write to such stories. His language is so deregatory to India and of high praise to China. A typical low self esteem Indian, for whom any thing non Indian looks good. I am really sad to see such a man stooping to low levels. God bless India.

I agree with the author 100%.

I have long thought the same thing. The absence of pure-play Chinese investments in India is conspicuous by it's absence. In light of the Global Chinese investment scenario, this is un-justified. I'm sorry to say, it takes 2 to tango.

Let's not miss the wood for the trees. China's got the closest, cheapest most appropriate (not the latest, but so close one wouldn't know the difference) stuff for India at a favourable price. Girders for bridges is a good example. Turbines is obviously another one. It's really no ego trip but practical stuff. China built it's infra so recently that the support stuff is still around and has not be melted down.
