Ipads and Android tablets are great for time killing, but as soon as you type something like a email on them, you feel you can be 100x fast on a desktop with keyboards.
Also most of the applications are toy applications on Ipad/Android tablets. They can never replace desktops. I can use them for watching movie reading articles, but that's about it.
Desk top will never die, wired Network is still safe then wireless. assemble one is far better because we can use our OS licence again if the computer brake. If we buy a brand desk top Os licence works as long the hardware works.
Better assemble our own. bit expensive but still better.
