not only in this for all the infrastructure initatives they are the f & m till dated we are using british made field maps only for survey .. we indian's become slaves to our own corrupt indian's , if british stayed here by this time india will be one of the super power in the world this no one can deny.

Agree... britisher's did amazing work on railaways not only India but in the entire world be it India, USA, Europe, Middle east etc.
Indian Railways integrates the nation.

It is very sorry to say that the progress was in colonial rule is much better than Independent India
we don't extent the Shimla line after independence.
In Assam Lumding to silchar, badarpur to lalaghat all established by Britishers we had not move a inch further

Bahraich( nepal ganj ),Kasganj in UP was connected by Britishers still run on that Old tracks meter gauge no development done in these 63 years

coimbatore is the worst lailway station. where no body works only sub contract workers are in the whims and fancy.and SSE/CW/CBE section staff is the worst working staff. they not only are maintaing the compartment but also spary DDT IN COMPARTMENT without giving 12 hours gap. with result passenger suffer with heart ailments. REFER COMPLAINTMENT NO.348008 DT02.08.2011.

Most were built by British, except vashi which looks like a concrete jail - an eyesore.

Most of the stations that are shown here were built during the British Raj and or by the erstwhile princely states. Nothing worthwhile has been built since independence. Who would? All are busy pocketing money. Unlucky India.

I cannot, most of them are brit architectures and people beside these stations are Indians.

Busiest is Howrah undoubtedly. And where is Sealdah in the list? I believe the reporter hasn't done enough studies.
