Problem
by utpal bhuyan on Mar 06, 2012 08:18 PM  | Hide replies

The problem in south India is that local people do not know hindi or english, making it a problem for outsiders to stay there for a long period of time. On the positive side, most of the IT people are from south India and IT is driving India forward.
There can be many Bangalores but no Mumbai in south India

People in south india speak much better english than nort Indians. North Indians only know Hindi. If you check any global survey, foreigners prefer staying in south india in cities like Bangalore because it is more cosmopolitan and people speak much better english

Hi Deepika n Utpal...I somehow disagree with both of you. Instead of choosing between North n South for better linguistic abilities, we must take pride in that we always have n welcome people from across the globe , irrespectable of cast, creed n color. We live by the sayin " Athiti Devo Bhava " Acceptance for our own countrymen , then comes the rest. Loads of Gyaan P'haps.

most citites are from South west. --- NO north.
by pankaj K on Mar 06, 2012 04:00 PM  | Hide replies

Most of the cities are from South India. and Maharashtra gujrat.
Very few from north india.

While rest of the india is progressing, Hindi sate and its people are improving population and burden on other states.
Migration of hindi people towards south has to be stopped else southern state will be as bad as NOrth india.

My dear Friends I have seen at least 50% parts of India, though originally I am from Maharashtra.

I think they have totally neglected following Cities -
From Gujarat - Surat and Rajkot
From Maharashtra - Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur (Pune is 7th largest Metro city- It Cannot be included in this List)
From Orissa - Bhubaneshwar
From Chhattisgarh - Raipur
Also Indore-Jaipur-Chandigadh should have been there in this list.

more cities
by deepak on Nov 12, 2011 09:13 AM

i guess we need pune, panipat, jalandhar, bhuvneshwar, chandigarh, ahemdabad, jaipur, jammu, puri, bikaner also to be added if any of them is not a tier 1 city.. actually they should have given name of tier 1 cities in india in first slide. that would have made more sense.
