Ok Guys

My point is unnecessarly we are putting more pressure on STUDENTS and Indians ,,sometimes we say talk about Indians being not innovative and sometimes IITs as such

below I gave ASR international and many others whose founders are not from IIts but yet succeeded as well
===================================
I feel we are putting unnecessary pressure on Indian students sometimes saying reservations ,,some times saying Innovation

I have read recently some bad news from IIT madras about some students suicides
that is why I call upon people to take the focus away reasons are
======
i)Indian students never failed ,,it is mainly Governance in India that has failed

ii)we have not been even able to give enough power to our Farmers forget about Indian industry

iii)Vote bank politics and divisive politics have destroyed our ecosystems ,,as tenders and contracts are all beyond time and quality - take CWG 2010 as an example

iv)while OECD countries have defined DIGNITY OF LABOUR and delivered to their citizens India is still struggling to define POVERTY with 32 rupees

v) Our Govt is corrupt ,,and inefficient ,,,I feel UPA2 is only below 40 percent efficient - whole winter session washed away with 2g spectrum ,,and ap state with telangana issue
compare this to Australia ,,a whopping 193 Bills were passed by Julai Gillards coalition Govt ? Australia BHP billition alone clocked billion of dollars in

revenues and created thousands of jobs in WA in last 5 years

Australian Banks were able to access the liquidity in the mining sector and successfully lend or recirculate that liquidity back to its Business(small to mdeium) and its citizens as Home Loans

vi)I do not think just a BE degree be it from IIT or otherwise alone will define a persons career
an average human has atleast 25-30 years assuming 65 years as retirement age

vii) There are many things that shape a person career ,,the team ,,company ,,work environment ,,access and freedom to do things
For example
-------
Mahindra today could spend 650 crore rupees on XUV 500 design and development (yes they could allow a few hundred engineers to unleash their potential),,but a few years ago such an opportunity inside is non existent

Iam sure all those engineers who worked on XUV 500 will be IIT graduates (and we should not assume so too)

viii)Likewise ISRO will give impetus to SPACE INDUSTRY ,,should it get its GSLV launch vehicles succeed

So unless opportunities abound and young peopel exercise their mind in a stress free environment ,,then only we can see them unleash the potential

More harm to India will happen to India not by its studnets ,,but by its administrative systems

i)they allow black money to get out of Indias borders

ii)if some indian business take money out of india (yes justified in some cases ,,may be not in other cases like Pharma)

iii)if no R and D spending happens inside India

iv)if all other sectors like Power (electricity),,Infra sect does not sufficiently augment capacity and integrate the various sectors like Transportation of cargo via Road ,,rail and sea links

If Corruption is removed
Infrastructure developed sufficiently across India
India solve its energy needs in a cost effective manner

Millions of Jobs will get created ,,if inflation is tamed ,,agri products find 30 percent exports ,,Cost of Living becomes better
with better quality and Infrastructure in health care ,,suddenly DIGNITY OF LABOUR becomes a reality in India
at that time ,,young people(grads)by themselves will adjust to their careers accordinlgly

Unless ECO SYSTEMS exist hard to Quantify
by rama anne on Oct 10, 2011 11:29 AM

If india would have built

i)Integrated engineering across the country
ii)if it has built good infrastructure
iii)if it has reliable Power supply
iv)if it has solved its energy needs or able to source its needs in a cost effective manner
v)if it would have made its agriculture atleast 30 percent export oriented

then the above steps would have made India a productive country ,,such a country would have created millions of jobs

This would have helped a stronger rupee just like how Aussies have their dollar rally against the US dollar

Then within India dignity of labour would have been defined

Instead we are defining POVERTY in india
========
Just IT service sector alone will not make India a developed country (it will help India but will not develop india )

well important questions to be asked or answered by respected sri Murthy is

i)how does his company based in India ,,be part of solutions in India

ii) with over 5 billion us dollars in cash reserves ,,will they invest in indias R and D efforts or use that cash to acquire other verticals across Globe ,,where such cash will be used

iii)will respected Indian corporates help reform Indian governance ,,get LOKPAL etc

If Piramals have sold their pharamacy to MNCs and have cash worth 10,000 crores plus ,,out of which they gave 200 crore to charity (appreaciated)
so will they use the cash to spur R and D inside India is the question?

same thing with Ranbaxy malvinder and shivander b

Guys

RESERVATIONS
==========
i)they were initially proposed as a programm to bridge huge gap that existed between the various sections of Indian society

ii)Authors of Indian Constitution have spelled out clearly at the time Reservations were to be a very temprary time period of 10 years and later to be reviewed(they meant altogether abolishment as well)

iii)they never were taken away ,,mainly by politicians
If sufficient resources are devoted towards education sector and no corruption ,,we would not need them

iv) I also do not support reservations ,,but I feel it is very wrong to keep on posting and blaming the messages ,,that standards dipped due to reservations ,,as this will impact the psyche of those students who are currently studying with RESERVATIONS ,,it is not their fault

v)Those who feel strongly ,,should represent the political office and suggest reforms ,,whether at state level politicians or even central govt politicians it is supported ,,that is where the crux of the matter lies
============
Recently I came across a fecilitation to sri Rao Anumolu of Andhra Pradesh ,,he was awarded with Ellis Medal ,,only First Asian Indian to get thet honour

he runs a company called ASR international (you can google it) in New York ,,he has supplied consultants ,,who have build HOMELAND SECURITY systems for United States of America after 9 /11 attacks ,,the systems that were developed by ASR international company today secure Airports ,,ports ,,

IITIAN develops a CHIP
by rama anne on Oct 10, 2011 11:00 AM

Indian-American Raj Dutt, an IIT-Kharagpur alumnus, has developed a next-generation energy-efficient computer chip that has caught the attention of the Pentagon, which is testing its application in the ambitious F-35 Joint Strike Fighters.

The breakthrough technology by Dutt, chairman and CEO of privately-held APIC Corp and Photonic Corp, helps computer processors consume up to 90 per cent less energy and run up to 60 per cent faster.

"The significance of the technology is that information transfer on the semiconductor chip as well as between components, will now be done using light - photons - instead of just electrons (electronics)," California-based Dutt told PTI.

There are many advantages in size, weight and especially power consumed, he explained during his recent trip to Washington, where he met Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

Photons do not generate heat, thus thy do not need to be cooled. For electronics, cooling is one of the largest cost components.

"Photonic interconnects do not generate heat and use less size than electronic copper interconnects, so more transistors can be put onto a chip. Most significantly, we have figured out how to do this using the same economical process used in manufacturing semiconductor chips today, enabling them to be stamped out by the millions," Dutt said.

Well aware with the potential of the computer chip, the US Department of Defence is fully supporting Dutt and his company. The Pentagon

people who pay capitation fees are more in number than those pass out of reservation and almost all of them are in job spectrum some where.Does'nt that mean quality gone down there as well?

Ok Mr Pravin Kumar
here are a few things that you must note

1.How many Univ vs students in countries like USA or Canada exist?

2.How start the capitation fee colleges especially in Karnataka state
it is either mutts(find out who and what are the mutts)

iii)most of them are started by politicians and their cronies(easy to get license)

so highest fee paying is not the problem

It is minimum requirements for the presecribed course(quality of entrance criteria)

Quality of Faculty and Labs ?as well
=========
The Same questions were asked by Australians to me here in sydney

Why are so many Indian students coming out to study ?does India not have Universities?

Again this was debated as well

- reasons cited are
No integrated univ
poor choice of course etc

That is why Sri Shiv Nadar foundation has come up with some SSn engg colleges and University as well

Fees can be charged a bit high ,,but along with it if the criteria to enter those Colleges is screened and then Quality is maintained with proper faculty and facilities ,,still it might be a good idea ,,bear in mind even in USA ,,bachelor courses
cost you a lot in some Univs
-------
Only catch is
if Facultu is poor
standard of entry is poor
poor Syllabus (outdated)
no adeqaute labs (practicals)

That will be doomed in all ways
