Radia closed business , because Radia , Ratan affair is out. The way Radio spoke to Ratan tata on phone is so unprofessional . Cant imagine she can speak to CEO of multi billion company asking in what dress he likes to see her while meeting . Working relationship is total bull
It has been proved that Nira Radia was perfectly involved with 2G spectrum allotment in favour of Tata group in a wrong manner. Now if she closes her company will Tata be able to save their face from 2G corruption case?
However, I must say that the article, doth insult the intelligence a little bit.
In Public Relations, Niira Radia has literally effected a coup. She has demonstrated in public, with more air time being given to her tapes and her powerful personae, than the World Cup advertisers can ever hope for, that she actually had a say in appointing Cabinet Ministers!
With this kind of massive clout openly advertised, just imagine the number of companies that would be lining up at her door every day!!
Tatas, whose that supposed to be?
There would be hundreds of Lala Kirodimal types, who wouldn't be able to make out the working end of a Prada Sneaker, far off a Cavalli Gown, but hey, there money's money as good as any. These guys would have paid top dollar for the services of one such powerful.
The other alternative was ofcourse selling out with a high value & talk of there being a tie in clause for her personally, while credible is not sufficient in itself for altering such a large decision.
I seriously wonder what could have driven the move?

Too many typos. "What Beautiful" to be read as "What a Beautiful".
"There money is .." to be read as "Their money is .."

The old adage, "Its too good to be true" does come to mind.
When someone builds up an all new enterprise, like say a Facebook or Starbucks or Nirma or Infosys or ICICI Bank, simple souls like myself, while wondering at the founders' genius can also grasp the value that these businesses unleashed which their predecessors or competitors could not or they created new markets.
When one gets into an overpopulated, undifferentiated, low entry barrier business like PR, I truly wonder at such big ticket success.
The author talks about the "Close Knit World / Tight Community" in the Indian PR industry and in the next breath talks about the dozen or so PR agencies working for Tatas alone!
As everybody has come to know of the activities and the (wo)men behind it, it is no use continuing it in the same name. Very soon a new venture will be floated with some other name to continue the lobbying business. This is one way of getting away with the law.
The way reports are being planed in media about CB Bhave, it shows many people want to settle scores with him. After all it was he who took decisions which shook up the industry. example Ulips. An industry was thriving at the cost of small time investors!
I see a lot of bad mouthing by readers. I think what one should admire is Radia's ability to network with the who's who in the country and getting things done for her clients. This course of action is entirely legal and all the big corporate houses do this on a daily basis. If what Radia did was incorrect her clients including the tatas and reliance as as much to blame. The fact of the matter is that today where politics has become such a mess, corporates need lobbyists to do the work for them, whether it is dirty or otherwise is a mere reflection of our society. So before posting reflect on your righteousness before commenting on others.
