mumbai traffic
by Harsh Mehta on Jul 19, 2011 03:04 AM

to lessen traffic on mumbai roads,i would suggest two shifts working in whole mumbai ,the shift will be mornning 9 to evening 3 noon and anothe one wil be 12=oo noon to 6=00 p.m.less hours working to be compesated by 29 days working in a month, only a day next to payday a holiday, total working hours and all present holidays be equated with present working hours and adjusted with new schedule, medical shops, hotels and milk shops to be outside scope of this new law.All organisations be asked to choose shifts now and once they choose can in future by mutual exchange.this will half the traffic on roads, again esstt.dept.of organisation like banks etc.having multiple branch to study the addresses of their employees to locations near their homes as far as possible,/for all new consructions not more than more than 1000sq,ft flat to be built upto borivali and thane. persons who wants to build bigger accommodation to go beyond that liit and present race course ground at worli to be converted into small aerodrome and these rich people can come by small planes/helicopter servicesto city, for town planning new norms that ground and first floor of new bldgs to beused for commercial purposes and higher floors for residential purposes but both be completely isolated with separate stairs ,lifts, above eliminate need of travel as persons working in these offices will prefer to stay insame building on higher floors. presently mumbai has landed where in poor and middle classes are thrown distsuburbs

Airconditioned sewage City -Bengaluru
by Alice Janho on Jun 05, 2011 12:22 PM

Worlds best city airconditioned lovely place to be in is Bengaluru except for the negligent gutters overflowing on both sides with stones instead of pavements, snakes dancing around in pools when it rains, dirt and garbage stinking in the once renowned IT palace Bangalore.Need of the hour is outsourcing water power and house keeping to foreign companies which can upkeep and bring back lost glory with trees plants landscaping with proper systems to rejuvenate this beautiful city.

It's a survey by an MNC. Don't think politics features in the equation. The parameters affecting this survey are mentioned in the slides.
