Our Democracy is a Total FARCE&this democracy has produced mainly only selfish& irrepsosnible looters &dacoits as our representtaives&leaders&still even after 63 years of independnence from british collonizers and looters, we have 500 million poor hindus who cannot get even one full meal per day, What is MORE even after looting trillions of dollars&packing all our gold to UK and western countries, using double agents like mahatma gandhee,Nehru&others, the UK and Western Nations Stll Treat Indians&Hindus as SLAVES&Servants ONLY even Now! What a Shame! Our crooked shameless rulers have TAKEN ALL THE INUSLT AND HUMILIATION & SHIIIT ON THEIR FACES FROM WESTERN COUNTRIES AND DONE NOTHING TO RESORE PRIDE AND HONOUR OF MAJORITY HINDUS AND INDIANS TOO FOR SO MANY DECADES, WHAT A SHAME! Even rss, vhp and BJP cadres and leaders and paper tigers DID NOTHING to restore the honour and pride of hindus and hindustan during the 5 year rule too. Unless and Until western nations allow free entry without visa and other formalities to their countries, we must cut diplomatic and trade realtions with those countries and that must include USA, all euroepan nations, australia, new zealand and canada and talibanic malaysia, etc. too.

INDIAN CITIZEN WILL HAVE THE CHOICE TO GET LOANS IN FOREIGN CURRE
by khairnar on May 27, 2011 09:08 AM  | Hide replies

Interest rates in personal and housing loans are increasing day by day because of the present UPA2 Govt.'s and RBI's bad policies, we demand public should ask to get housing and financial loans in foreign currencies from anybody who is ready to give the loan less interest rates. This will definitely boost construction industry as well as people who wants a small house as their own without giving more and more money as interest to the Indian Bankers. There should be globalisation of loan distribution. Indian Bankers are at present increasing the interest rates even for the existing customers who once ready to take the loan on floating rates which is now becoming suicidal and bankers are increasing their rates to get maximum profits from their clients. We need GLOBALISATION for Housing Loans and Personal Loans and people will have to give choice to take loans from any international institutions or money lenders in small interest rates.

Kick the congress party of the country
by jyothis joy on May 26, 2011 10:53 PM  | Hide replies

My dear fellow citizen,
If you want to walk with your head held high in this world, please roll up your sleeves and work hard to get the real freedom. India is an amazing nation with full of potential, intelligent and talented people. What is preventing us from making a bold statement in international issues, or taking a big step in leading the world? Why dont we have our own products in IT, instead we keep finding happiness in providing our services to the rest of the world? Why cant we have our own google, or facebook?
My point here is friends, the love to your country is not in saying jai hind 10 times a day. Doing things, creating and inventing things, strong and powerful leadership. India has the power but no leaders to exercise it. It is such a pathetic state. It all starts with the congress party, if you need real freedom, say RIP to congress and choose progress instead. They have never done anything good for the country in 100's of years, and dont expect that it will change someday. Then we are qualified of running for the IMF's head position..

IT innovation, google or facebook was not innovated by any political party.Neither congress or BJP can do these things.

Why donot you try your hand in developing something spectacular like facebook? What is stopping you ? Remeber Subir Bhatia who developed hotmail and sold to Microsoft?

Well, US venture capitalists are happy to support and provide the investment you needed for any startups, if you have an idea. Situation is quite different in India. Besides any enterprise needs support from the government. You dont need a political party to create/invent stuff, but you really need it to market, and value and make it grow.

IMF chief -any one from BRICS country
by Debaprasad Dev on May 26, 2011 10:23 PM  | Hide replies

Thanks to our honourable PM Dr Singh and FM Mr Mukherji for showing concern over the new IMF chief post.
Why not a chance is given from BRICS group or Developing countries?
Why candidature is not sought /advertised from worldwide aspirants for such a top post?
Why not an eligibility criteria are set for the top post of the world?
Why not the concept/ advice/ consensus are sought from noble laureates in economics?

It may never happen ... the voting rights are in proportion of the size of the economy and so, the western world (EU and USA) will have over 50% votes for a long time.

Who's talkin'?
by Jaganniwas Iyer on May 26, 2011 10:00 PM  | Hide replies

Apart from the self-preoccupied Indian media and its cohorts in the intelligentsia who keep trumpeting Montek Ahluwalia's name as a "likely candidate" for the IMF chief's post, I haven't come across a SINGLE news item in any worthwhile overseas publication or website that takes India's posturing of IMF candidacy with even an iota of seriousness. In this regard, I agree with Rajendra Gupta's post on this side. Seems blowng of one's own trumpet is now the media's favourite pastime, with a servile prime minister who, lacking the wherewithal to do anything tangible about the nation's problems, can only resort to this vodoonomics of "9% growth" a per cent of this and a per cent of that and useless media-generated chimeras like the IMF presidentship falling into the lap of his crony, simply because his regime has declared him to be a "contender".

Have you heard of BRIC and BRICS? India is the "I" in BRIC and BRICS. India is now recognized as an emerging economy.

In 1991, India mortgaged Gold to IMF, and in 2009, India bought Gold from IMF at 40% below market price.

Give MMS some credit for India's economy

Totally agree Rajendra. This kind of news can only be seen in India. Outside India no one cares what India thinks about the IMF chief's post. We are so arrogant and self congratulatory even when we are not at par with China, forget about the US and other developed countries in the west.

Well said. No one outside cares about what India thinks on the matter. The same is the situation with India's quest for permanent membership in the UN Security Council. We visit all third-world countries (some of them are unheardof) to garner support for our cause. None of the big powers, barring the UK, have come forward to support India. There is a huge market out here and that's all that counts for others.
