1. I consider Jairam is right, how many Indias pressing problems of technology and economical these institutes have resolved. 2. Their audit should be done every year by HRD .

Very true....let things be simple.Helping the poor is something which is an act not a resultant skill.Do some research work guys..........utilize your resources, money ,time and effort. Not all are blessed to reach that position
what a stupid article. Should IITians work in a govt. organization where promotions are based on Caste? At least they go to US and send money back to india. Lousy govt organizations. People have lunch and sleep.LOL. Corrupt to the core. The problem is not with IIT's SIR. Leave these guys alone.

The trouble is bureaucrats are not proactive. They can easily change the system and bring in efficiency, but rather spend time in lobbying (other officers from the same region) and get promotion or psting thru Jugaad. The mindset needs to change. The IAS training institute at Mussorie must teach morality.
if dr's can me made to work compulsory in villages then why not iit grads in govt organisations for getting subsidised education. why should foreign companies take the cream. let them hire after 2 years.
Re: like AFMC make them work for 1 yr atleast with GOVT bodies.

For what to learn abt corruption. Whoever goes to US invests a lot more in India than people in India. Also if we look at investments that the Gov. makes for BPL, BCs, SCs, STs and minorities and compare it to what the gov. inevsts on IITs it is peanuts.
IITians are world class Merit of India why people feel jealous of them if there education is subsidised...
Rightful Indians should feel their heart burn when corrupt politicians loot the country of lakhs of crore and corporate house make billions by cheating & bribery...Indians are sick minded..can never applaud the talented.. BTW ,Arvind kejriwal an IITian chucked his good job as civil servant to fight the menace of corruption which is devouring India like a monster.. Commendable IITian,
These IIT's should charge companies coming for campus internew, the actual cost accord on each student. So this will help Govt to divert the fund so collected to educate poor needed institutions and parralley can fund IIT's for further quality professors.
They are smart and passionate. they have energy. but masses have to support them. most of indian just want to live a sleepy life and hope govt to give them better life style. thats moron. its time of people centered revoltion. people have to unite in building better road, foot path etc. people have to spend money, effort, maintain discipline. make sacrifices, pay toll etc. then only infrastructur can grow. IITs can stay in india and build india. otherwise they get irritated and run to US. so understanding is needed among people.
It is total loss to nation as most leave the country to serve in US or for FMCG companies where engineering knowledge is of no use.The amount spent by most qualifying for IIT in tutions runs into lacs & the so called middle class has no problem in funding study at Bansal in Kota while seeking low tuition fee once the child makes it to IIT. The overcrowding in IIT & IIM post OBC quota has anyway taken a toll on already low student/teacher ratio.
This is a very good beginning by the Cream of IIT'ans and the society to get the benefits of their technological skills and financial support. Hope all successful creamy intellectuals and other business people think positively in developing their rural neighbourhood and the livelihood of people around themselves to make a mark of development across the country's landscape. There is no need to mention that this the prime responsibility of the politico's we elected but they are engrossed in amassing land and other economic resources for themselves and their kith and kin not for the Ordinary people.
