Please test drive it
by Vadivel on May 28, 2011 03:30 PM

i've gone through the specifications and personaly seen this car. I feel its going to be a sucessful model in its segment. It uses Renault's best engine, more responsive one and economic also ( Diesel 21.00 KM per litre as per ARAI). Renault started its dealer neteork in 14 major cities in India.
please visit the dealer to feel this car. Its going to be a real competitor for CIVIC and Corolla

by Aditya gupta on May 28, 2011 02:14 PM

Probably the author has not owned a Logan ever..I have a Logan...driven almost over a lakh KM...spent more time in the company service center and spent more money on maintenance than paying the EMIs...It is a pathetic car...

What value it brings in ?
by sk ms on May 24, 2011 02:47 PM

I don't know what the writer is trying to say abt the car.. Whether its worth the price on not the customers will decide.. However when someone discuss about a car, its features, Engine, power, mileage, road handling, driveability are the key points.. See some points that this article talks about..

1)The silver door handles -- Oh what value it adds?
2)large 'Fluence' badge on the boot -- So what? Every make and model will have the badge again whats in for customer
3)It doesn't look Japanese and it doesn't look German -- is looking german or japaneese bad ?German and Japaneese makes some of the ebst cars .BMW, Toyota,Honda,VW, Nissan, Merc.. what is writer trying to say ?
4)no leather-wrapped steering wheel- Is this someting as important as engine or gearbox? I dont know.. I am a layman.. I think a leather cover for steering wheel is available and fitted for less than two thousand ruppes.. Why crib abt this?

Same Basic Mistake
by Gaurav GUPTA on May 24, 2011 10:21 AM

Again Renault has gone ahead and done the same basic mistake of nor configuring a Left hand drive car for a right hand drive market. I hope the have set the wipers right unlike the logan which left a huge blind spot in the drivers field of vision. Try driving the Logan on a rainy night and you will understand what I mean to say. Even the turning Indicators and Wiper Controls would be placed wrongly leading to a lot of fender benders early on in the cars life. I wonder y the government insist that all the controls.. Gauges..Switches are properly configured. It cant be THAT expensive to do..

Because i think todays date all gr8 facilites are available in 6-7 lakh vechicle models. So why we waisted money. If your money is Black then u have better option.

KAROLSON THOMAS
Chinese
by KAROLSON THOMAS on May 24, 2011 04:39 AM

Base Models - Toyota RAV4 AWD sells for $32k ,Nissan Dualis AWD $31 ,Toyota Klugger AWD- $41 Ford Territory AWD $41 , Nissan X-Trail $42 ,, Chinese 'Great Wall'(with features of top-range luxury model(normally about$3- 7$ extra on abovem odels)-leather, bluetooth, reverse camera, alloywheels power w/s/locks/mirror,foglights,etc) - $23999, Chinese 'Cherry'(top range only)- $19999(manual) And not to rule them out coz they are chinese, they have passed required tests to be on Australian roads (never heard of any tests for our roads).most people drive automatic in Oz coz of frequent signals and dont want to have grinded knees pressng the clutch and shifting gears. The fuel advantage of the manual is not worth a sore knee in the long run. Anyway with import duty in India the car cost almost doubles eg the Toyota Landcruiser is about Rs 40lacs in Oz sells for Rs 97lacs in India. And does anyone get any benefits except for the mantri? I hope people buying(???)that car knows this price difference.
