GDP is growing but that only reflects corporate sector performance.
India a country where people find it hard to meet a square meal. No index showing "this real status" is not making stories in Indian media. Neither people in power talk about those.
In term of hunger index India is in bottom 20 along with African countries like - Congo, Tchand, Ethiopia (in bottom 20 only two are Asian countries rest are African countries).
Only Asian country Bangladesh is below India.
Which corporate media will let people know this side of the story. Alas!!!

gdp is being accounted in inflation and big qouted rate of land,,there is nothing happening in real senses, land are being garbed by politician mafia nexus and making farmer more poorer,by strong inflation, within five years, land rate have been double by govt , is it the gdp,in total value
China jas left Indian no where in per capita export, GDP, literacy, poverty eradication, school and higher education, world calss universities, research output in terms of quality publications and IPs in number of patents, manufacture of sophisticated high tech equipment such as trains, jet fighters and electronics. Indians should clean their act and stop coming up with these empty, iodiotic and misplaced hubris, which with every passing day looks more and more ridiculous.

Your sarcasm not withstanding, you have failed to heed the message. Nations are not built by optimists or pessimists. Natiosn need to realist leadership, chattering class and media.

You mean we have to believe your baseless and statistics- less theory and not the research based theory of IMF. Who said nations are not built on optimism.OPtimism is the base of sucess and pessimism is the base of ruining. This is common sense. YOUr English is good but wisdom is poor. YOur pessimism is a bane to your wisdom

just compare chinese govt. and indian govt. china is rule by crooks of communist regime (a tried and failed way of governance eg in soviet and loads of other countries) and compare democracy in india. Democracy in China is waiting to happen, sooner.

It is even so laughable to put India in the same bracket as of China, which the Indian (corporate) media try to showcase all the time.

No reason to feel negative about it. China started its economic reform in the early seventies (Nixon landed in Beijing in 1973) while India started it in 1991. It has been projected that while China's growth rate has to go down in the fututre (that is the norm after reaching the height) India will keep its current rate for at least two more decades. The main reason for this is India will enjoy a younger workforce for quite a long time while China will have a significantly larger number of elderley people who will not work. So the curve is going to meet some place. If you are interested try to see if you get hold of a copy of the current issue of International Affairs journal published by Columbia University which is devoted entirely on Sino-Indian affairs.

well said , simple comparision and that says it all it is ridiculous of the pathetic corruption and overall indian attitude.
The Education system is the root cause y India is suffering. There has to be a single unified education for all rather than , this kannada first language , tamil first langauage or malayalam or bhoj puri first languale .
Simple common sylabbus for all and it should groom the students for a single development of the country goal.
Big words indeed! but how does this unforeseen future going to happen. Among all this countries, only South Korea has some realistic chance of making it to such destinction of defining Global order in 2025. Since according to their demographic and Economic success will give it an edge over all other regional rivels.

Yes, you are right. That's why the western media mock us whenever they get a chance. It is even so laughable to put India in the same bracket as of China, which the Indian (corporate) media try to showcase all the time.
