China is our enemy but...
by Dipak Bose on Sep 22, 2011 04:00 PM

India has to learn from China, which is really developed, with large cities, clean, no flooded drains, no uncollected garbages, no bastis, no juhupris, no beggers.

They plan first, they then ask people to move.

In India they ask people to move, without making any arrangement for their living.

In China, people work. In India babus come to the office at 11 in the morning to watch Dradid and Dhoni, not to work.

Our Dalit cleaners ( who get Rs.40,000 per month to clean toilets in the airports which are always stinking) are always drunk but get paid regularly.

Chinese are working hard. It is a planned country. That is the reason it looks good.

But India looks like a gargabe depot. we should be ashamed first before we can criticize China.

Unlike China, India is a multicultural society.
Due to lack of social mobility for BC/SC/ST/Minority communities, India will soon disintegrate like USSR.

Case of Chinese Govt Stupidity
by Amit on May 20, 2011 07:48 PM  | Hide replies

While govt in china has built the country there
are these cases of building cities hoping ppl will flood in ....this is case of monumental stupidity...building a city which ppl don't want to live in as it is not near any industry .

its a city built in a village with no demand.

Well, what media projects,it does not cover everything.

Infact each and every house in Ordos township is sold out ! But nobody stays there.

People from Dongsheng district bought these houses. All those people have one house in Donghseng and one in Ordos.

Chinese people have money but they want ways to invest. This is result of real estate bubble.Every house has an owner but no inhabitant.

Ordos is an exceptional case but such townships are everywhere in China and are successful.

50% is urban population in China where as it is around 25% in India. In China 25% people depend on agriculture. They use improved methods of cultivation and there is extensive agricultural research.China targets to make atleast 60-70 % population urban by 2015.

India also needs to improve urbanisation and agricultural methods to eliminate poverty and farmer suicides. It is very ridiculous to keep 85 out of 120 crores people involved in agriculture.

More and more people of India needs to be diverted to manufacturing and export goods. The target for agricultural population should be atmost 25%.This will ensure that all our farmers are wealthy like that in Australia,America and China...

Chinese are not like Indians. Remember, Chinese people relocating to Tibet in mass numbers in order to elect a Chinese representative instead of a native Tibetan ? May be in this case, the Govt is yet to give directives to people to relocate to this ghost town and start working and living there.

Look at it differently...

When they can build and plan such clean and green city, when no one wants to move in.

Then imagine how WELL they will build a city, when people want to move in.

It is high time, Indian Govt learns a lesson and gives the citizens a RIGHT to live in such cleaner cities too!

Indian and Chinese people gel well with each other and there are 13,000 Indians in China. They will say that. And many Indians among them married Chinese women and settled here.Chinese woman are really loving and sincere.Mr.Anthony,the owner of India Kitchens chain in China and Mr.AshokPastakia of Taj Pavillion hotel in Beijing also married Chinese woman. These are very successful Indian businessman in China.

India and China are two great nations and the common people of the two nations are more of partners than being competitors..

Long live success story of China and subsequently that of India...

I agree with you.

I have visited Indian Multinational Suzlon in china.

I was surprised to see women's driving trucks and cranes.

Chinese womens are very friendly and loving.

But china's strategies with india are different.

Yaar, all because of the british, otherwise India and China never had conflict.

This MacMohan line of british created all the problems. Before that nobody even clearly knew which part is India and which part is China.

Another thing is the language problem.English was not known well by the Chinese so,India was perceived and is perceived as America's stooge.India has shown its boldness by rejecting F16/F18.This sends a positive news about China.

If you read chinadailydotcomdotcn, you will find positive news about India.Even Wen Jia Bao told Gilani that he is happy at progress of talks between India and China.

Well,1959 changed the things. If Dalai did not enter India,China would never have been Pakistan's friend.Equation changed after that incident.Any way,we have to move ahead for common good of common people of both countries...

You are right.

But one thing,in 91 probably,Dussault Rafale was caught awarding a 200 million kick back to Asif Ali Zardari. This information got leaked and a Swiss bank agreed(I read in wikipedia) and Mr 10% was sent to jail.Ultimately ,the deal did not happen.

I hope there is control on kick back games in arms deals...
