Endemic Corruption
by Ravi Embar on Aug 25, 2011 02:41 AM

There is corruption at all levels and in all places. Corruption exists when a former Chairman of IOB, Narayanasami fails to pay parking dues of a few thousand rupees or whenever some auto rickshaw drivers try and skim more rupees from unsuspecting riders. Corruption exists when Airtel salespersons sign on new customers promising (non-existent) superior broadband services for a prompt hefty fee plus security deposit but dither, delay and deny due refunds for cancellation of service. Corruption exists when property developers Real Value Promoters hold onto millions of rupees that are meant to be handed back to property owners on completion of construction. Corruption exists on a low scale each time inferior services are delivered for superior fees. Corruption exists on a massive scale when political leaders and corporate chieftains bilk public money and public trust for their private needs and schemes.

Curruption- The Goolab Ka Fool Way
by Balwant on Aug 24, 2011 03:00 PM  | Hide replies

Curruption in various forms has been existing since Independance. Even if a person does'nt deliver to requirement of Nation, instead busy in building self image, then he too is currupt. What happened since 1947, holding Goolab ka Fool propagating Punchsheel & taking up beat of neighbours was no less of Curruption, aniway God rest his soul in peace. But, now the monsters of curruption PIGVIJAY SINGH, KAPIL SABBAL, SOOAR-ESH KALAMUNDI, P CHHADMA_BARAM, under able & dynamic leadership of her highness TONIAJEE & AAHULJEE must be blackened & condemned & socially boycotted.

the election process is wrong...
by Akash Doshi on Aug 24, 2011 02:57 PM

whts the use of elections if a non-elected manmohan and ineligible sonia is able to rulle the country...

secondly, the fact that anybody has a right to be a candidate in the election is not right... our election process is only attracting corrupt people to participate...

track record in social service and education should be the foremost criterion for filling the form..

Production of Space.
by Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay on Aug 06, 2011 12:17 AM

Most of the communities in India (such as Bengali), are succumbed in 'Culture of Poverty'(a theory introduced by an American anthropologist Oscar Lewis), irrespective of cl-ass or economic strata, lives in pavement or apartment. Nobody is at all ashamed of the deep-rooted corruption, decaying general quality of life, worst Politico-administrative system, weak mother language, continuous absorption of common space (mental as well as physical, both). We are becoming fathers & mothers only by self-procreation, mindlessly & blindfold. Simply depriving their(the children) fundamental rights of a decent, caring society, fearless & dignified living. Do not ever look for any other positive alternative behaviour (values) to perform human way of parenthood, i.e. deliberately co-parenting of those children those are born out of ignorance, real poverty. All of us are being driven only by the very animal instinct. If the Bengali people ever be able to bring that genuine freedom (from vicious cycle of 'poverty') in their own life/attitude, involve themselves in 'Production of Space’(Henri Lefebvre), at least initiate a movement by heart, decent & dedicated Politics will definitely come up.

All Politicians are not Corrupt
by shyamal das on May 07, 2011 10:31 PM

Corruption is existing in all works of life. All Politicians are not corrupt, only a few politicians are corrupt. Our country is a great one in this World. We have very good leaders in works of life. But, of course, We, as citizen of India, have to keep our eyes open and raise our voice. .
Some stringent laws must be framed wherein all Central & State Government/Non government executives & non-executives, All judicials irrespective of status of Courts, Political Leaders including All Ministers including Prime Minister of India will be covered / regulated.
I hope Country can get effective result to check corruption.
Keep faith our Constitution & respect. Awareness of Citizen is more important to check corruption.
Corrupt Politicians will be punished.
Keep faith.
