This is hard to predict. 2050 is more than 30 years from now. Who could tell in 1980s what the economies of China and India will look like in the 2010s? What happened to the predictions in the 1960s that African economies will be far above many Asian nations' economy in the 2000s? What about the predictions in the 1970s that the Japanese economy will overtake the US economy in 2000? We can try to predict and it is not bad to do so but many unpredicted things can happen within 30 years.
With India growth momentum falling after another 10 years, there will be massive disillusionment and un employment in the much increased population of that time. triggering social unrest and political chaos. It is quite possible that Foriegn investment will vanish much before that and it will be a bad lesson for economic mismanagement

Just 10 years back no one can predict or think in dreams also that most powerful country in the world USA will come to third world country India for creating jobs in USA. 10 years back no one even talks about China and India. Only USA, UK and Europe were King. But time cycle changed so fast that today everyone even in developed countries all are taking about India and China success.
