The Center for Science and Environment (CSE), which works with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for over three years, conducted a comprehensive study and found dangerous level of pesticides in all samples of the two soft drinks. Again in 2006, the CSE has conducted another study covering 12 Indian states and come out with similar findings reiterating its earlier findings. The CSE claimed to have found an average pesticide residue of about 24 times more than the standard prescribed by the BIS in the soft drink samples taken from manufacturing outlets in 12 Indian states. The hazardous pesticides found included lindane, chlorpyrifos and heptachlorine, which cause cancer, birth defects, disorders of the nervous system, low sperm count, damage to the kidney and liver and reduced immunity, the CSE claimed in its report.

Taste and Brand.... Coca Cola is better than Pepsi. Pepsi is poor man's Coke and a Coke impersonator.
