Nitish kumar needs to work out what the state is familar for, if its for iron ore , it should invite giant iron, steel developers to set plant in Bihar such as Mitall, Tata. But first cleanliness (Shudhata) of state is must.

Than why people of Bihar say that they have constitutional rights to make the life of people of other states miserable if the local people of Bihar cant do anything for themselves.
Why people of Bihar say that IAS & IPS are max from Bihar but they dont do anything for the local people of Bihar.

Why people of Bihar say that they are hard working in other state but not in their own state

Than why lots of question comes in my mind about Law of Constitution of India

What you guys are doing making life miserable of Americans and Canandians in US and Canada working like slaves and living like cockroach only to save dollars.
Yes Bihar has max IAS, IPS, IIM and IIT graduates.
We are in process of developing.
We have right of service , right of information acts which you or your leader can never imagine nor implement.
You have leaders like Sharad pawar, Chauhan and Deshmukh.
We have Nitish kumar.
Your haterd towards bihar proves you guys can produce only Raj Thakrey. Dont dare to compare with us.

Why Bihar alone?
by Kannan on Mar 31, 2011 10:06 AM  | Hide replies

Rediff should make available a comparative picture of all State Finances. I am sure that the story will be similar if not worse in certain States. In that case, why to show Bihar alone in a bad light!!

The light of Bihar is seen in the desperate migration from Bihar of its people.

Just see a train from Patna arriving in Mumbai and the pitiful state of the Biharis who alight.

Yeah do make a comparitive picture of all state finances - including those who contribute to the center and those who mooch off the center.

True. I think Bihar & Gujarat's economies are very unimaginatively managed today. The only states with high quality fiscal management are Tamil Nadu and Maharshtra.
Under the revolutionary leadership of Kalignar, TN has gone from strenght to strength. No Bihari, or Gujarati can ever dream of getting a free color TV or rice at Rs. 2/- per Kg. With Amma now learning from the University of Kaliagnar, the day is not far off when TN will get its rightful place in the Guiness Book of World Records for fiscal management.

Maharashtra, while starting out as another unimaginatively managed state till the mid 1990s, has caught up very well. Today, with Adarsh, i.e. Ideal leadership being provided, Maharashtrians can enjoy both the pleasures of lake Geneva of Switzerland at Lavasa and the pleasures of New York, anywhere in Mumbai, if propoerty prices are the right measure of pleasure.

Maharastra Govt has been successful in creating a ideal model city of mumbai for others in India to follow. Few things highlighted below of the tremendous acheivements :

This was the first city thanks to the state govt to have Asias largest slum Dharavi where conditions are so good that people wash chlothes in sewage water. You can do natures call anywhere you like.

People have the pleasure to travel like cattle daily risking their lives in overcrowded trains.

Property prices are most affordable and builders are not allowed to fool common man by using terms like super built up area, built up area and they always give possession of flat to the person on time.

Garbage is burnt near about daily so that lakhs of people can smell the pleasant odour and then fall ill and provide employment to so many medical staff.

200 yr old sewage system still being used with no improvements so that mumbaikars can swim with no cost when the city is flooded in rains in sewage and garbage.

Roads are repaired on time with highest quality and you will never get a backache when you travel on them. Metro projects are very transparently sourced and always completed on time.

Houses meant for Kargil widows are given to them on time and no corruption is tolerated.

Is not the above a very big achievement for Maharastra Govt . Will not every city in India be like Mumbai especially with the points above ?

progress in chhapra district ,Bihar
by ashokkumar on Mar 31, 2011 10:05 AM

why Mr Nitish is not paying attention to eradicate corruption from Chhapra Adm Office ,
all the state govt departments have no intention to do good/developments for this whole area which is very backward at each and every levels i.e road ,health , education ,employment in govt and Private sectors. etc.

Why Bihar?

Why is Bihar talked about in negative way here? The fact is, Bihar is among those few states whose fiscal deficit is still under the prescribed limit.
Request Rediff to please do positive journalism and not find negatives out of positives in case of Bihar.

I was in Patna for couple of weeks. what ever people say about Bihar is just bullshit. No proper administration, Stinky roads, Traffic congestion, High land price. People are just talking nothing is happening.
despite of poor infrastructure, Education, Civic administration if somebody says bihar is growing it is just a joke.
Somebody said above that Nitish have to bring Tatas and Ambanis. Mind you none of them have even shown intrest in the state. It is the attitude of the people and availability of Manpower which brings the industry not just a man called Nitish Kumar
