After WWII, the whole world was in reconstruction mode, and there was a need felt to have such institutions who can organise funding of develpemental projects which led to creation of these organisations. They have fuelled growth all over the world. After US, n Europe atttaining status of developed nations, the attention was focused on Asian n Aferican countries losely termed as IIIrd World countries. These agencies have done smart work by providing Long term resources at much cheaper rates. Oflate, these organisations have been largely influenced by US in decision making. As a matter of fact, these agencies have become an instrument of arm twisting by the US & its allies.
