by JAGDISH on Mar 24, 2011 08:41 AM

HIS VIEWS ARE JUST THE SAME WHAT GURU NANAK DEV JEE STARTED HIS MISSION AS LANGAR.
HE ALSO SAID THAT 10% OF YOUR PROFITS SHOULD GO TO philanthropy AND LANGAR WHICH HE STARTED IN 1500 ARROUND IS CONIRUING SINCE INITIONS.

India has big potential Market!!
by rang on Mar 24, 2011 06:57 AM

It is no rocket sceince..Do you know why these pp1 like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates..etc etc visting India and telling that they want to help India..India has got very big potential market next to china ..no other country is comparable bcos we got huge population..so these ppl are simply investing and want to make money from us..but our Indian white color coolies never understand that, never thinking of doing something on own, always just want to work as salay paid coolies and want to be in safe comfortable zone.....this is another way of looting our country (compared to British rule earlier)

buffet has ignored india all the time
by Sam on Mar 23, 2011 10:39 PM  | Hide replies

Now the change of heart ? India needs to be careful with these types of behaviors. No personal offences, but things don't change overnight without a reason..and sometimes the apparent beneficiaries are the victims. India need not to change 26 % cap on foreign investment in insurance sector...why change anything when everything is going our way?

Considering India's healthcare situation, if you think that the things are going "our" way, then you must be delusional.

Your direct investment for Iscar in India
by Shreeram Krishnan on Mar 23, 2011 07:31 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr. Warren Buffett,

Warm welcome to India!

We have a great respect for you and your acquired company Iscar Limited of Israel, whose secondary brand company you have visited yesterday- Taegu Tec India Pvt. Ltd., is doing good and generating revenue worth INR 1850 million for you.

Iscar is a premium brand under the IMC Group in which you have invested US$ 5 Billion in the year 2006, and so far Iscar has not invested anything in India, where manufacturing sector is growing at very rapid rate, and its major competitors like Sandvik of Sweden and Kennametal- Widia of USA are having significant investment and direct presence in the Indian market since 1962- 63, and as on date are having major market share in the Indian market.

When are you planning to have direct investment and presence of your superstar brand Iscar in the Indian market? As with its direct investment and presence in the Indian market, Iscar with its most innovative and premium products can generate revenue worth INR 3000 million for you, rather than current operating arrangement of selling through agent which limits its customer satisfaction level and your revenue generation to only INR 600 million?

Above question is in line with your Quote “Your premium brand had better be delivering something special, or it’s not going to get the business.”

Please comment on your plans for this.

Thank you,

Shreeram Krishnan
VP- Operations
Maini Precision Products Pvt. Ltd.

Philanthropy and Indian Business Houses
by Bull Ji on Mar 23, 2011 06:45 PM

I think the Tata Group is the most ethical business group and have contributed much to India's growth. You need money to do something and our business houses can do for the country without contributing their wealth to Gates and Melinda Foundation only.

He has donated a major chunk of his wealth.
He lives a simple life... drives his old car.
Eats in a mc.donald, just the way he did when he was not rich.
He is a simpleton.
Yes, he is a real hero.
