sure, this is perfectly true> I did the same after comparing and test driving all most all cars in the segment. Fiant Punto is definately having an edge- on performance, interiors, comfort and satisfaction.
This is Not a complete list, as it seems The Writer got BRIBE to make this list. There are other much appreciated cars are around, like Hundai i10, i20, Mahindra logon, cars from Ford, Fiat etc..
Recently, I took a Meru Taxi, a Mahindra Logan, from Bangalore Airport to the city. As the traffic was 'Choc-a-bloc', due to the Aero India show, the cars were crawling at 10 km. So, got talking to the taxi driver and noticed that the car had done 256650 km on the odometer. Car seemed in good condition and the engine seemed smooth. I asked the driver, how many KMs does the car do a day. He said 3-4 trips a day, which is about 180-220 km a day. He said the car was about 3 years old. He seemed happy driving the Logan, though he had been driving it for less than 1 year. Clearly, Proof of Road worthiness of a car is in the actual miles it has done. I was truly impressed with Mahindra Logan. Mind you 256K km of running for a car, is awful lot of running. Well done LOGAN !!

Tata Indica finds no mention whereas this car gives confirmed mileage and has driving comfort combined with low ownership cost. I am one of the satisfied user of this car.
No data is provided regarding satisfaction index scores. They have just picked up cars from various segments and added them to the article. There is no way a Polo which is still to complete 1 year in Indian market can be compared with cars which have completed more than 2 years on the road. It is a known fact that cars tend to have more problems as they age.
