No data is provided regarding satisfaction index scores.
They have just picked up cars from various segments and added them to the article.
There is no way a Polo which is still to complete 1 year in Indian market can be compared with cars which have completed more than 2 years on the road. It is a known fact that cars tend to have more problems as they age.

I agree that Fiat or a Ford is a better product on technical grounds but ownership experiences & Asian sensitiviy in design is lacking! Dealers are extremely shoddy in case of accidents and repairs - its best to avoid headaches.

But generally Maruti quuality is great for "first car buyers" -but not for those who mature with trying other cars.

Fiats and Fords are mass market cars need to kick their dealers alot and rewrite spares prices.

Skoda and Honda are small rats that pretend to be rare lions.

Toyota at least in India is a sleeping giant - A Kumbhakarna that did not wake up till VW stole teh initiative...

An "auto enthusiast" may be not bothered about things which a normal user might be.
Hyundai/ Maruti provide the best after sales service in India, with good resale value.
It is the normal people who drive sales, not the "enthusiasts"

Your opinion on Maruti cars are 100% true. But I do not agree the same for Hyundai cars. Their cars are of very good quality. I am a Hyundai user for last 4 years. No issues and really satified.

Well Virat I agree with your views but then read the heading boss they are telling the brands Indians are satisfied with, and here in India more than anything else we look at affordability isnt it, if we had enough money to spend on luxury Maruti 800 wouldnt have existed and pple like you and me would have got class of BMW and Mercedes

Are u comparing T-jet with i20/ dezires?
And if u are comparing Punto MJ with i20, rest assured that i20 is faster than Punto MJ.

I was expecting a FIAT fan to chime in. You must be a FIAT salesman or having a FIAT car and just make sure that FIAT doesn't exit from India by campaigning for it! I agree FIAT cars are good, but their after sales service is pathetic (handled by TATA). They work like government employees.

After trying 3 OEMs in C segment I am best satisfied with Hyundai.

The I10 / I 20 are fabulous cars across all segments. Hyundai Accent which was killed by company itself ( on global strategy decisions) had to be revived by popular support in local market.

The reports of D & E segment German cars from honest sources are quite terrible. Long history of looting by Skoda dealers is only tip of the iceberg.

Then what you want Mr. Anil, SX4?...the drivability, control, precision in steering, road grip and fuel economy (Diesel Version), driving comfort, no other car can beat fiesta on these fronts. For your kind information, fiesta diesel has good sales figures and it has improved a lot day by day. I own it, travelled 85000 kms, no spares changed, 5 years, no major costs towards maintainance, fuel economy in city like pune 17-18, on highways 21-22, on pune mumbai expressway speed between 70 to 100, it give 28 km/liter. All figures are with AC 100% on.

Mr. Manish, I am driving it for 5 years at the same comfort level and same quality experience. I guess you havent seen the world apart from maruti. Milage figures, the milage figures which I have written are as per today's status, not what company has claimed. I guess you recently met some maruti sales man who has put all this scrap in your brain.

Paid News by Maruti
by veryharsh on Mar 11, 2011 01:50 PM  | Hide replies

Its definitely a paid news by Maruti to fool few more thousand prospective customers. Otherwise, quality wise Maruti is nowhere on the horizon compared to other brands. It has remained number one for many years just becasue government didnot allow much companies to enter in indian market, whoever entered had paide huge taxes, where Maruti had government stake with special tax benefits. Thats why maruti was cheaper compared to other brands. But now its tough time for moaruti as no more Government umbrella, honeymoon days are over. Sales figures are dropping, unable to keep the costs low, heavy competition from other indian non-indian brands, so they need to do this paid survey to get little help in sales.

Cntd...and better sales does not mean good products. Most of the indians believe in cheaper the better. So maruti has grown to this size. Maruti's USP is biggest service network, I say its more negative than positive. It means Maruti knows, their vehicles will fail anywhere anytime. So they have huge network.
