Congratulations sir...your work is giving me lot of motivation...basically im a doctor and i hav my own set of ideas with which I would like to bring about a health care revolution...Thanks for rediff for posting this article
Kudos to Dr. Sekhar for his excellent social initiative to spread the message of Water Harvesting. Most of indian states particularly, TN, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra ( vidarbha) are dry states and there is acute water shortage . Water harvesing should be implemented in every village, town, city and State deligently to increase the water table. Large qty of rain water is wasted in India as there is no awareness of saving of rain water by water harvesting.
Many thanks to Prof. Raghvan, Sir Your work for the awakning the society for the scaricity of the water and preserving it really commendable. I really appriciate your constant tirade to convince the people. Now I request you to convince the Governments to include this measures in their planning and make it compulsory for all the up comming housing projects. Govt. have many resources and dept. looking exclusively for the civic amenities and if they have the will it can be really good for them and to socities also.
Congratulation to Prof. Sekhar Raghavan and Susri Jaylalitha for executing this much wanted conservation-work.
I esp. liked the idea of ecological sanitation leading to manure creation that is largely untapped in indian villages (at least in the villages in eastern UP where I dwell from)
i know long back even before 2003, there is an engineer in bangalore worked for IISC, who started much before 2003 and showed that many borewells water table increased due to rain harvesting and many houses use corporation water only for drinking. he did for my house in 2003 during construction phase itself. he was simple man who never aimed for any publicity

what is wrong choice? the person running the centre also promotes rain water harvesting and is doing it not for the money! do you mean to say only that engineer from IISc bangalore should be doing RWH all over the world?
What a irony people flood with unwanted messages in all other articles. Here nobody (very less) people appreciating the selfless work by Sekhar Raghavan.
Please keep your good work and try to give solutions in all other places in India
All the best for your efforts..educated person like you..shld consider in developing such innovative ideas.. which will have impact on our environment due to pollution. Hat off to you sir...My wishes to Mr.Ram Krishnan who helped setting up rain center.. Keep going...
