L&T single handedly manufactured India's only nuclear sub Arihant. It got ordeer during bjp rule.

Now they are not getting any orders. mazedon dock is getting order to manufacture 12 subs. And italy company is getting order for 6. They are telling l&t is not capable enough to manufacture.

All the psu are afraid that their ineffectiveness will be revealed if another indian company manufacture hitecch products.

Dear Rajkumar

How much dom you know of Arihant?? and the contribution by L&T . SIngke Handedly-- have you ever got associated with the design or construction of a ship. Please understand one thing. L&T even now are struggling to set up their yard at Katupalli and its far far away from the reality. And at every step of the construction of Arihant they have been helped/guided/spoonfed by Navy and the foreign designers.PSUs , atleast will ensure that the technology will stay with them and the money/revenues come back to the country.L&T wants everything and will not part /want any other Indian Pvt yard to manufacture/produce.

PDP International Ltd tows L&T’s Pride ‘MV Rolldock Sun’ from Hazira to Mumbai, its launching station
PDP International Limited, a leading name in Project Logistics & Heavylifts handling, successfully executed the towage operations of

L&T Shipyard’s pride “MV Rolldock Sun” from Hazira to Mumbai.

The massive ship MV Rolldock Sun, first of its kind built by an Indian company for exports to Europe, is a RoRo LoLo Container Breakbulk Heavylift (equipped for lifting capacity upto 700 MT) & semi submersible vessel.

This new ship of length 142 meter, breadth 24 meter, depth at main deck 13.16 meter & dead weight 7700 tons was required to be brought to Mumbai urgently for drydocking, shipbuilding completion & launching.

PDP accepted and executed this challenging job on turnkey completion basis.

This involved critical work to be carried out both before and during the towing operation. It required chartering a suitable tug, projecting suitable towing gears and arranging for towage, taking all relevant permissions for towage from DGS, IRS, Warranty Surveyors etc.

The most difficult and challenging aspect of the towage, Mr. Animesh Kumar, Vice President and Head of the Projects for PDP International Limited reiterated, was non-availability of engine power

Dear Rajkumar, Do you know how much of Imported raw materials L&T had wasted during the construction of Arihant? L&T is now worried that , pvt yards like ABG, BHarati, SHOFT, TEBMA and PSL are now giving them a tough fight. And they were monopoly and suddenly threat had come to them, their very existence. And they failed miserably, in the launching of the first commercial RO RO Ship for ROLLDOCK of Holland. Please see the data obtained from net"PDP’s heavy move

helping sick public sector means helping lot of families

This man want the complete accumulation of nation's wealth to the corporates. Public sectors should redefine its business model and the government should support its effort to come up.

more and more accumulation of wealth to the private parties is danger to the entire earth as these peoples are programmed for profit only no environment protection, no future generation, only thing they want is convert all the natural resources into hard cash and store it and use it. This deadly loop is going to kill the mother nature.

I fully agree with the message of Jagajuguja. A M Naik just want to monopolise everything and do not want others to come up. Let him be honest and call for an audit of the work undertaken by bthem for INS Arihant, visa vis the wastage,.

I'm not against PSUs but ground situation is, most of them are just working like a charitable trust for few families. Employees are only after salary hike. L&T is a non gov organisation who is fully dedicated to nation development. Please understand Nation need money to grow and secure ourself against growing threats.
Everyone should be answarable for even single paisha of salary.

I liked your care for ill effect of privatization, but it comes out from lack of long term thinking. We can always impose regulatory measure to check the wrong practices private companies do. If private players are allowed to setup there factories inside campus of defense area we will be able to monitor them better.

We have to understand that we can not take sluggish growth of our own PSU granted anymore. We have to force them to work hard and be competitive. Otherwise foreign companies are always there to kill our PSU. As far as I know, At HAL mostly we just do assembling of imported components. We have to change that.

All foreign companies do deals with us at very high cost. We Indian only work in background in the form of outsourced technology from the same company. Our manufacturing source component to them. They assemble it and make it made in that country and then sell us. In this way most of the time we get fooled.

Private sector has always provided quality products to defense, look at defense vehicles from Tata, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra. We have to give private sector one chance, same as we did with globalization of Indian economy in 1991. Other wise we have to keep increasing defense budget every year to buy the equipment at high price.

Develop technology, use it for self and then sell it, is the only way for self defense.

You need private participation as to become competitive in manufacturing and technologically advanced. Govt. should rather focus on FOOD, EDUCATION and INFRASTRUCTURE.. which is the prime mover of the country.

Of-course, the defense related jobs should be only given to companies who are capable and have clean image... Could be the next Lockheed Martin/Boeing/Air-Bus of India..

PSUs can grow only if they make PSU profit as a base of employees salary.

Accountability is must.
