Budget: What is the real benefit for you
by RAJIB on Mar 04, 2011 10:55 AM

actually such budget is on neither improvement nor loss, this is to give normalcy impact or stagnant on to the economy , because there was no invention in the system of taxing,no grouping all the taxses in a block on segmentwise for reforming, nothing it will be freezing Prolific in the economy,so how much we will gain get loss in the budget because of impiled subsidies throughout exemption, Cartel off of taxing,so real benefit for you and me is to be for the success while insisting on production capacity to boost the development of every one's economy.

Foolish benefits
by Shyam Sunder on Mar 03, 2011 04:07 PM

It is nothing less than foolish to call IT relief anything to anybody! A mere Rs.2000 per year is not enough to have even one cup of tea each day for the year. A person earning Rs.3 lakhs per year pays nil tax since upto first 1.8 lakhs tax is nil and for next 1.2 lakh he can save both compulsorily and voluntarily or incur expenditure on house rent, etc. So it is no use for anybody drawing less than Rs.3 lakhs in the first place. For somebody drawing more than Rs.3 lakhs the inflation has made a dent of atleast ten times in the pocket in less than six months. A saving of Rs.2000 means nothing. It should have been nill tax upto Rs.3 lakhs and then upto Rs.8 lakhs a tax of 10% and from Rs.8 to 15 lakhs, a 20% and above Rs.15 lakhs 30%. Considering a family of six members comprising a husband, wife, two children and two parents, at Rs.5000 per head per month expenditure on average, a family needs minimum of Rs.30000 per month and Rs.3.6 lakhs per year. So even if the tax starts at Rs.3.0 lakhs it is not a big relief to a normal middle class family.

Tax on Health checkups
by mr c on Mar 03, 2011 12:42 PM

Why is the FM wants to fill the government coffers on the misery of the patients who need to undergo regular medical checkups by introducing a tax on these services. In fact Government should come with a legislation of free medical check ups and treatments for all senior citizens above the age 60 years in all government and municipal hospitals and also bring a legislation of 50% discount for treatment/checkups in private hospitals.

Middle and lower middle classes has nothing cheer...
1.6 - 1.8lk hike is just eye wash considering high inflation and crude prices. excessive corruption made food prices reaching sky highs.

Service tax on Health checkups - costs set 2 go up hitting middle classes on chin.

Further UPA considering hiking lpg prices in towns, metros by 100/- per refill so what is left for urbanite in the budget?

It is anti middleclass budget....
