If America said it is good for them, it can not be good for the common man. Just that simple. This is just the simple Gandhian saying if something is good for the last man in the line, it is the best. Read now in the reverse order what American said.

Nothing of cutting taxes on petro products
by Kaka on Mar 01, 2011 08:58 PM

Wonder why the FM has not mentioned duty and tax cuts on fuel products in the budget? He has left the customs and excise duty on petro products as it is when we all were expecting the cuts to bring down the petro products as it is or come down.

Feelings of Common Man
by MeetFireWithFire on Mar 01, 2011 02:46 PM

Come-on Man, common man have not got any help from the budget!

Is there any one who dis-agree with my below statement:

USA have better facilities (Be it infrastructure, health care, education and what not) than INDIA.

I would like to ask a simple question?

Is it possible for a common man to think about buying a house in metros in INDIA.

In the United States, common man is able to purchase them with their two years gross anuual salary.

OK, let us not consider the purchasing power of USA, let us compare the prices of houses.

Shockingly if you look at prices, US and India have almost the similar prices for buying a house. Is this fair? How come a common man in India can afford to pay the price of what is prevailing in the United States?

The prices of Real Estate in India are not fair at all. There is no value for money in INDIA.

what is the point of having 10 lakh salary when more than half of it after tax goes to pay the EMI. Better was slary of 3-4lakhs 5 years ago. People used to pay 7-8k on emi. India getting costly , jobs are bound to go to other cheaper destinations, bursting the india grwoth story bubble.

The FM has in the most SHAMELESS way opened the doors for the 'STASHED AWAY SWISS DOLLARS'to come back to India with the best possible route(Mutual Funds) and without any lockin periods or penalties even for name sake!!!!!! - Open Mesage for all Swiss Bank Account Holders in India - The Government knows you have Money stashed away - The government assures you full support to bring back some part of it so that you can earn better interest(profits)in india than in swiss banks - so make hay while the sun shines - come one come all...!!!!

common man especilly middle class also happy
by sss on Mar 01, 2011 11:59 AM  | Hide replies

It looks as if subsidy on cooking gas will be withdrawn and prices will increase by Rs 300 per cylinder. BPL families will be given subsidy in cash? More doors open for corruption. It will be a cruel thing if prices per cylinder move up to Rs 700 next year.
But the budget is taking good care of common man by reducing mobile prices. That is more of a necessity than cooking gas. One more good thing, no issue if we find food expenses inflating because we will be getting LED's at cheaper rates.
One more good thing to come out of this budget is that now people will be discouraged to develop complicated health problems for fun sake or as a hobby because if they do & seek medical care in good reputed hospitals they will have to pay more on already very expensive treatments. So, either they must plan not to have serious health problems or they should decide against seeking better health care. Good for people with less resources not to have cancer or heart problems.
