Murphy baby is probably the oldest and most enduring of them all. There was a contest back in the fifties, asking parents to send a photo of their toddler in the same pose as Murphy baby and one who resembled closest, won. The Murphy baby herself (yes, a girl), tragically died young, leading to an opinion then that it was not healthy for children to be exposed to public adulation!!
