IMF CHIEF is the position for highest achievers in the world who go through rigourous training hardships change in attitude and abilities to create positions for themsalves by competing in most challenging environment with global vision and result orientation to contribute internationally with risk taking ability and knowledge of varied fileds to get integrated while decision making in a complex situation

Do agree with all your points lister here. But unfortunately IMF, IAEA, UN Sec General, UN Security coincil and all such positions are controlled by uncle sam. Hence you cant expect any benefit to third world or developing nations as they will be dictating terms thru their mouth piece

Why then are there countries like Zimbabwe, Somalia and such other poor African countries where poverty reigns and dictators rule? I am sure these countries owe the IMF & World Bank a lot of money.
