To raise oneself rather from rags to rugs needs best enterpreneurship confidence,planning which Mr.Malhotra definetly possess.It is not by tax evasion &other malpractices as quoted by some learned friends.
Most of you admire that Mr. Malhotra had grown his company Luminous from 40,000 to 1866 crore, but I believe almost all of you didn't know the real story how they achieved such growth. They adopted highly unfair business practices like not paying their vendor and suppliers on time ( delays in payments run into years not even months), creating false balance sheets , giving wrong information to Income tax departments. Even they didn't pay salaries to their employees on time and force them to leave company without paying any of the employee benefits like PF, bonus etc. Luminous is full of malpractices as you can check any consumer forum for complaints against their Inverters and Batteries. I hope Schnider can bring some ethics in this company.

that is the story of almost all the successful business in India! A bad currency keeps the good currency out of circulation. It takes to be a perfect crook to succeed in business in India!

Don't think Schneider and and other companies in the West are very ethical. However, the people and the systems there will not allow gross violations such as not paying their employees and debtors.

Yes Indian mentality of sour grapes...but it should have happened to you JASPAL then you would have known the effects of not getting paid on time...not getting a hand on your savings...and if you are so practical about life...hope you get a taste of your own medicine soon...

Also you can buy a company abroad in the same fashion... and with Rs.1866 Cr. Mr.Malhotra can breed another a BIG Luminous for us!!!

I agree. What you say makes sense. Rediff must have published this article when they hit their 1000 Cr turnover as a complete Indian company. With selling off 74% stake to Scneider, its no more a Indian company.
every body want success in life and a good business Icoon like Mr Malhotra, dedication and hard work put by many but one thing matter that is timing and Luck that Mr Malhotra of Luminous has in his favour. SO hardwork WITHOUT Luck Matters alone can do somthing but not everything.
