The entire India is a tourist place. We need cleanliness and clean toilets in every tourist place.

This article says it reports domestic travelers. But the only two states that make sense in this list are U.P. and Uttarakhand by pan India or international standards. Kerala, Himachal, Kashmir and Goa are conspicuously absent from the list. From the figures reported for A.P., it is obvious people traveling from within the state have been counted here as domestic travelers. Most people in North India don't care about the Tirupati temple. It is more of a local shrine visited by people from A.P. and perhaps by people from neighboring states.

An the states on top of this list have a lot of business traffic or act as ports of entry for other destinations. So this article has no sense either way.

So Amrit ..your statement is north Indians don't go to tirupathi,go to tirupathi and see for yourself..right from amitabh to every Tom dick and Harry would be there

you are absolutely right mr. vinod. 30% of pilgrims to Tirumala (that's really where the temple is) are from Maharashtra,MP,Chathisgarh,Gujarat

Instead of top 10 tourist destinations.. if they would have written as ' Top 10 states with highest tourism revenue'.. it would have been much better..
