The prices of all the Two wheelers including Bajaj as the cost of a vehicle is not afordable.i suggest Bajaj to decrease prices in all segments for further increase in sales
Dunno about performance/servicing of other bikes but have had very bad experience with Bajaj after sales in Bangalore. I own a Bajaj Boxer CT100 which was no. 1 in the economy segment and is still very good with hardly any problem (mileage though now). But they have made their golden goose obsolete. A couple of visits to their service center and you prefer non-Bajaj authorised service centers. Now many customers have become after-sales conscious.
Bajaj bikes are sporty and definitely better looking than hero honda, but Hero honda bikes and much more fuel efficient and durable in the long run with very low cost of ownership. Bajaj needs to look at its quality and not just price.
I had Splendor and have Discover now. The quality of parts used in Discover seems to inferior than what Hero Honda use. May this is the reason behind their lacklusture performance.
