Act Right Mr.Nilenkani with Right consciousness-part1

Why Bengaluru is the choosen location for such an institution instead of smaller towns like Bijapur,Dharwad,Ballari,Gadag etc which’ve good Rail/Road connections and would’ve given opportunity to study the present rural setup taking into consideration the rural physical terrain/topography etc with their inherent problems.Mr. Malthus had had been alive today he would’ve vomited by the attitude of utter negligence of engineers of this country who’re disbanding their responsibility of their domain training(civil, mechanical,ECE etc) and serving the interests of other countries(MOSTLY NO WAY related to their domain training like a civil/mechanical engineer programming a bank) when our country is crying for need of proper utilization of engineers.Who will clean the so called filth that the author is writing sitting in cosy metros. It’s civil engineers who has to build the nations physical architecture,It’s the mechanical engineer who has to develop machinery/manufacture the machinery,it’s the Architect who plans all these urban/rural conglomerates etc etc.But see many of these selfish people are sitting in metros(or big cities) and confining themselves only for design engineering/costing and cost monitoring jobs dishelving themselves from important tasks of production/manufacturing,construction etc jobs. And from the campus itself many of them are hijacked to man jobs to serve the

And from the campus itself many of them are hijacked to man jobs to serve the interests of other countries and sometimes no way connected to costly and important domain training that they acquire at B.Tech/M.tech etc levels..Mr.Nilenkani and other elders atleast please realize the actual needs of the country and use your charisma to properly divert the young human resources in the development of country. We’re giving one million dollars (indirectly) to foreign countries serving their interests (ignoring ours) and bring one lakh dollars in return and posing as if we’re doing a great national heroic job.Ask your conscience.By our stupid cowardice we’re seeling our iron ore and buying back the finished goods at enormous costs back.what a shame.Lets leave the opportunistic singing of Vasudhaika kutumbam (to corner the cosy jobs here or goto foreign countries) and when trouble occurs there come back to grab cosy jobs by singing Mathru devobhava. If you would’ve donated when the institute is located in semi urban or rural location you would’ve been appreciated or if you’d have donated to innovators or donated to serious field study (industrial development)oriented R&D institute It would’ve served greater purpose.Try next with right introspection.

Sir

1.I read your message ,,Sri Nandan stayed back in India ,,and he created jobs

2.HE ALSO wrote a book about how to develop India ,,a chapter about UIID ,,whic is now a project

3.Indians who went abroad ,,also work hard ,,no one in the west just gives a job ,,you have to prove and work hard to earn it

4.Sri Nandan Nilkenni all his life stayed in India and set up Infosys with partners

5.Your assertions do not apply to him at all

Every single Indian whether in Gulf or West is made to earn every Dollar or dinnar the hard way
it is not just given to them try yourself and then comment

Hope you will be a bit more context sensitive

The main issues are

1.Dawoods illegal betting syndicates in sports and mafia

2.balck money by some politicians and dodgy business men

3.Stealing of Govt funds in Nrega ,,PDS etc
catch the actual thiefs if you can or atleast support
JAN LOKPAL BILL or elect good people like sri Nandan in politics

If there sre no good people in politics then encourage good people to join politics and elect them
India will develop quickly

For now appreciate sri Nandans good work and abilities and his help to Indias causes at large

I’ve always respected Sri Nandan Nilekani and other greats of all domains in this country who’re serving it with dedication. But honestly do you feel that if we sit in metros and cities and majority of the best of talent is cornered by software industry and the rest are flying awat to foreign countries will help in country’s development. This is resulting in increase of corruption indirectly to most of the extent.
Coming to institute Why can’t the foreigners come and stay for a period and extend their services.Particularly the intended institute will best serve its interests if it’s nearer to rural locations as they’ve chance to study the physical terrain and other aspects which’re vital inputs to better city planning. If the city keep on growing radially the resultant chaos(you might’ve experienced in cities like Bengaluru,Mumbai etc) like to just commute within city it takes hours wherein the valuable time could’ve been better utilized and also resulted in less pollution(consequent healthy state of residents) etc.Particularly such institutes should initiate such high utility/great causes of development of meaningful urban centres within each 200-300km instead of chaotic present metros/and other major cities for which the growth plans are being set on wrong parameters. For eg as a software engineer what’s hindering to setup your services ce

For eg as a software engineer what’s hindering to setup your services centres in smaller towns. If you want to go to foreign country on duty can’t you travel by train and take flight from nearest airport.Have not the western people done in the past.We as civil construction engineers travelled to remote areas of country and worked.I worked under a UK national Mr.J.A.B. Broomfield our Manager(contracts);he travelled the nook and corner by taking variety of transports as is available. He scoured the filthy areas during on the site conditions study without murmur and with great dedication.Likewise when Power plants of NTPC are setup people have gone to remote places to work.
I’ve always contributed constructive ideas to Nilekani (and other greats) whenever got oppurtunity and at the same time (and spirit) I would do constructive criticism.
If you’re a software engineer would you help me to accomplish in developing a ERP product which’ll have our country’s stamp.Myself(handling Architectural/civil construction domain part) and a friend(handling software).I’ve send the proposal to many a Indian software organizations, and I didn’t get any response.perhaps I’ve an ordinary degree (B.tech civil in 2nd div) and instead of fake software experience (as some people got into) I’ve genuine cosnstruction experience.I’m 48 yrs old.I

Infosys 600 acres or 6,000 acres has nothing to do with Indian agriculture

Indian agriculture

devoid of seeds and fertilisers

Devoid of gOVT policies

Devoid of power or electricity to be reliably supplied

devoid of agri clinics or utilization of IRS satellite data

if we do the above indian agri will do better

Infosys has nothing to do with Indian agriculture

Infosys 600 acres is very less it should have been 6,000 acres

It is not publicity stunt Mr Ahmed

1.It is fact based and presented very clearly

2.To attack Infosys is to attack the Indias It service sector ,,Infosys needs 600 acres or even 6,000 acres
Because

1.It hosts the largest Training institute at Mysore

2.It has good infrastructure and allows its employees to have cafeteria ,,yoga rooms ,,Gymaniusm ,,Cultural fest and Sports facilities

3.It not only trains Indian interns and Interns from all over the world

600 acres is very less space for Infosys ,,I want God to help Infy to get 6,,000 acres more so that can give more facilities

Infosys 600 acres does not impact Agriculture at all

1.Indian agriculture is devoid of good policies

2.Devoid of scientifict methods like IRS Satellite data systems

3.Devoid of Fertilisers ,,Seeds

Let us not get cynical and talk of extraneous issues that are unrelated to the laudable effort of setting up an institution to train manpower with the right skills to address the gigantic problem that is staring at us which is to channelize our large populations to become productive and beneficiary in the process of nation building. To take on such a daunting task, it is requires the support and backing of visionaries who look for ’out of box’ solutions. Let us make no mistake, each one of us will be affected one way or the other, so everyone is a stake holder.
Such interventions should have happened much earlier. Government attempts in this direction have been tardy and fallen woefully short as removed from the ground realities. Let us hope that this effort through IIHS which is floated with good intentions and the mobilization of required amount financial resources is taken up with yeoman’s zeal and moves on fast track, as otherwise it will have the danger of being yet another missed opportunity.

Call centre operators, surveyors' aides, sundry clerks.......

And on the subject of call centres, the Chinese are so furiously and meticulously advancing that India is very well set to lose its perch at the pinnacle of the IT service industry !!

Why the Nilekani's donated RS 50 Crores to IIHS
by DWARAKANATH V on Jul 17, 2011 06:50 PM

In my view, the problem is only half addressed.the immediate need, if at all we have to improve the lot of migrant families involved in this kind of work is an assurance of a decent shelter with minimum amenities, an opportunity of giving their children decent, basic education wherever they migrate and an universal health care facility. The above has to be ensured for everyone irrespective of from where they have migrated.
Quite a big Challenge but not impossible for well meaning patriotic Indians.

slums in India
by raman govindan on Jul 17, 2011 06:34 PM  | Hide replies

if the government were to bar the entry of unskilled workers and illetrates to the metros, state capitals and major cities, demand for such people who provide the necessary service that make the city breathe and run will increase and their wage level will follow. that will reduce the slums and poor housing facilities.

the government can take up a sinle or a group of cities and implement it and see and review the growth or decline of slums.

Gujarati people are successful empire builders!

You cannot build empires by sitting at home!

BTW, Gujarati Ambanis have business interests all over the world! Should they wind down their empire because their home state is experiencing a windfall?

An Indian Bilderberg group in the making???
by CounterJihad L on Jul 15, 2011 08:06 PM

This IIHS sounds very much like the formation of an Indian Bilderberg group or a Indian Tavistock Institute. Nandan Nilekani is member of World Economic Forum, a child organization of the Bilderberg Group....all this sounds very ominous and very evil.
All the board members of IIHS are rich industrialists from the private sector.
