Has any one successfuly ported their numbers from one to another network. I applied for the same and got a new SIM card from docomo put Airtel is creating some issues like invalid UPC etc to delay the switch even though everything is correct. Their customer serive is not reachable.

yes i have ported my number sucessfully in delhi from vodafone to idea. Airtel policies are not fair towards customer. Approach Nodal officer or Appellete authority at Airtel
As of now all bleeding service providers are on the verge of loosing customers. Subcribers will once again get back to their original network after few months once this MNP trend is over with no satisfaction.
All customers say they r fed up with their service providers and they keep switching from one to other, to sum it up all service providers are bloody cheats, scheming and suck money!
I wish to switch over to either Idea or Tata Docomo from the old Vodafone no, as they still keep charging me Rs. 1.00 on all local calls per minute & a staggering Rs. 1.50 on STD calls. To top it all , I have been their loyal customer since the last 12 years atleast. Yahoo for MNP !!

I am also dissatisfied customer of Vodafone for last 11 years. I tolerated because of not loosing the number. This is the time to change.

With the implementation of MNP - (Mobile Number Probability), now it is giving stiff competition between service providers. It is the high time about the service providers about the hidden charges in billings and quality of services they are providing. For eg:- for me vodafone earlier they told itemised billing is free. Now they are charging a Rs 50 per month, with out any intimation or confirmation, and with out any confiramtion they used to charge mobile itnernet Rs 200 per month. Now it is time for consumer to study in detail of other service providers plans and benefits before moving .
