H is silent, -uay is pronounced as capital 'Y'. -ra is its literal pronunciation. Hence we get Wirer. Remember the last -r in wirer is soft in British english, but in Indian dialects could end up with wireR with stress on the last R. :-) there you have it.
Rediff, why don't you do some course on how to maintain a website by avoiding repeated, same sick articles about one subject..in your case, CARS...really u test our patience...there is some much other to cover...you are simply paying your editors for doing nothing...

It would be better if Rediff could publish articles about good, open, drivable roads in India instead of these stupid articles about cars that most Indians cannot afford anyway!

I will not pay the price of Nano for this car....East or west, Nano is the best.....I am saving money to buy a Nano..I have almost a lakh, need some more.hopefully this year end.

Have u heard of the exploding nano? Its just an unsafe golfcart with a tin body. Buy Hyundai!
