dude... get ur facts clear. one of the main features of a slum is lack of space because real-estate is expensive and squatters, with the backing from politicians and also the need for middle class (ever imagined where your kaamwaali bai or driver or apartment watchman live in), ghettoize themselves such that a million people squat in about a couple of sq km, you have slums. Slums survive because they are on a small (relatively) piece of land and have a lot of people, who can easily get a voice through our democratic system in spite of being illegal.
Do not compare Somalia with India and you may be shocked to learn that they have fewer and better slums than India.

ya grab the land from govt at a very cheap rate and then spend lavishly for the house screwing up many ppl
