The author of this article states that person intending to open a swiss bank account needs to furnish documents like proof of income...but what proof can our most credible (read corrupt) politicians and beurocrats show for the amount of money they stock up in such swiss bank accounts...when they salaries are like 1% of the amount they invest..

PM MMS is a Gandhi family Coward - Sold his seat to Sonia
by sridhar reddy on Jan 19, 2011 05:25 PM

How can Switzerland create such banks. Is that the international policy of having undisclosed or secret accounts. If it is not a allowed practice then we should go and destroy that country to pieces since it is encouraging crime in the world.

Otherwise if it is an allowed practice of secret accounts then India should also allow its banks to do the same. Since we are so poor, people from rich countries will hide their money in our banks.

Isn't the PM a coward not disclosing the names and doing proper investigations which filthy practice the So called Gandhi family that is the Indira Gandhi family allowed for the past 40 years in the country.

Basically the difference between Swiss bank and other bank for example State Bank of India is that suppose you open account in SBI, If someone (lets say Police, CBI, Income tax official) wants to know about your account then SBI will tell them account details.

But in Swiss Bank Privacy laws make it impossible for anyone to access the clients account information.

Money in foreign

Our politicians, bureacrats and industrialists do not have faith to keep money in India itself, when small country like Swiss can provide similar facility with total secrecy. If this system we can provide even the people of other countries can also part their money here and total money is available for development.

This is nonsense.

even a person selling stuff on road why people choose Swiss bank.

Unlike other banks in the world, Switzerland has Privacy laws which prohibit Bankers to reveal account information to anyone until and unless the account has been proved to be criminal in the court of law".

Although true about swiss banks, there is no reason why money should be lying in different country instead of helping the economy of native country of account holder.
Looks like paid campaign has started with Julian Assange's bomb shell is ticking. These days one can't beleive media, they are all sold out.
