Not a good article
by Gaurav Johar on Jun 01, 2011 02:58 PM

It seems rediff doesnt do proof reading of its articles. There is so much repition of the same sentences in so many slides.

Apart from that they have got few pictures and tried to make a whole article out of that without any literature for the same.

Improce your editorial team Rediff.

Good Photos, Poor text
by hanumanth naik on Feb 27, 2011 10:15 AM

The person who wrote the text for these photos has no knowledge of the Airbus other then just describing what is in the photo "An airbus employee....." I was hoping to see more real information about the construction for the air craft rather than a description of the photo.

We can also do all these things? are we lacking in technology? no. The politicians should not interfere in day to day affairs of the Government. They are minting money not only for themselves but also for two or three of their generation. There should not a caste, colou and creed. Those who have done well in school, colleages and in IIT, IIBM they should be posted in government department and they should be given more powers and there should not be any interference from the politicians. Our schemes and dreams are spoiled only by the self contended politicians. More over they should not be allowed to be in the same post for more than 2 times like in US and they should also studied upto graduation for contesting the election and above all they should not be more than 60 years of age. The illiteracy is not much when compared to those days of before independance so it is the best time to amend the constitution that those who are constesting the election should have studied upto graduation and they should know the national language Hindi and they should not be more than 60 years of age. So that young people will come to politics and they can shine well and also fullfill the dream of Mr.abdulkalam.

A very good advice but it is difficult to implement in a Country like ours 'cause so many's interest will be clashed and will not allowed even to look into.

Hindi was made the national language because the illiterate leaders from north india never knew that there are other languages in india and even the so called madras has 4 different states. they were even unaware that there are several dialects of hindi, and different language styles is spoken in rajastan, haryana, punjab, up, bihar, mp and other so called hindi speaking states. for them, ignorance was bliss.
and by the reason they claimed that hindi is the most spoken language, the best options for national animal would have been rat, national bird crow and national flower parthenium (congress grass) and not tiger, peacock or lotus.
they were even not aware that jan-gan-mana was a song written by tagore for tatta-lifting of king george, for which he was gifted nobel prize and made it the natinal anthem, and not vande mataram, which describes the nation better.
jai hind.

Narrow thoughts will keep India weak, because it will keep certain classes in a predetermined dominant position, able to exploit the others to their narrow purposes.

Honestly doing away with domination, is the only way to make India strong.

There is no sign that anyone in a dominating position is willing to see it changed.

Probably there is no feasible method of doing it.

It is not God given that India will become a modern equal society. Indian could remain backward for ever. There is no interest and no overwhelming compulsion for reform.

India can continue as a store of controlled human beings available in plenty at a low price.

It is useless to think of improving the politicians or Govt. servants till the common man of India is reformed enough to treat all Indians as equal. Widespread corruption is because of inequality, which prevents any Indian from being truly loyal to India.

Instead of prescribing what others, such as politicians should be made to do, it is better to think of what the people themselves ought to do, one wishes to improve things in India.

As per post below, and re: Govt. policy of going for layer-upon layer of industrialisation (machine tools, tractors, scooters, trucks & loco's, ships, cars, telecom and rockets ); aerospace is also happening in smaller steps. Nascent private activity is also there.

China is simply a decade or two ahead in many areas, their liberalisation alos started 1o-20 yrs. before India.

Everything is as should be. I heard it said however, methinks Mukesh-bhai Ambani, that unlike India, China will be demographically old before it is comfortably rich vs. India which will be demographically older and richer in sync., albeit a little later in the game.

Chindia is a great idea therefore; China can outsource low level factory work to India as it scales up to the next level. Instead of China vs. India, the real gamechanger is in China India= Chindia

The secret question which has not been asked here is, whether China will treat India in a friendly and open way.

All the chances are that it will not.

Probably like always in unequal relationships, the dominant Chinese will use Indians without giving up their control.

Might is Right, and China is overwhelmingly mightier than India and not going to loose it in future either.

India can at best be a third rate partner of China.

Hindi is a Link language. Actually English could unite Indians in a much better way, but a show of self respect made India to choose Hindi instead, and in turn Indians suffered permanent disunity over languages.

India's most important difference from Rest of Mankind is the natural free availability of almost zero cost human beings in infinite quantity. Even today a human being is a much better control device than any man made robot. The most sophisticated aircraft have human pilots even in the developed world.

A system which places zero value on individual human beings suits India naturally, and that is what has evolved throughout Indian history. Indian cultures treat human beings as a zero cost resource, and the economy runs on keeping the cost of human beings as low as possible.

Western ideas of equality do not conform to Indian realities. A predator and its prey can live in the same space, but cannot become equals.

As any other Chinese product, we cant expect an airplane to be sub standard, cheap and absolutely dangerous for the environment. Hope Airbus has taken a wise decision to open a plant in China!

I was expecting to see how the aircraft is made step by step in logical sequence. But here the photographs are shown from different manufacturing sites all over the world. I am more confused now then I was before i started reading this article.
