No need to worry about Darjeeling Mamata didi, you have to worry about your state so called West Bengal, as WB is one of the poor states of India. People of other states says Bangal is kangal.

Darjeeling also known as the queen of the hills hopes one day to become Switzerland of India (not West Bengal)as all the people residing there want separation from Bengal and formation of Gorkhaland state as per the Indian constitution.

nepalis should be verified before alowing to stay at Darjeeling. The gorkhas have been brought by Britishers from Nepal to work as a tea labourers and now they are claiming a seperate state as they have maximized population and the unabeted influx from Nepal.Few Nepalis are oiginally from Darjeeling ,others have been migrated from Nepal.Darjelling belongs to West Bengal and India.Tomorrow they will want to seperate from India which is not possible.Bengalis have given maximum blood for India's freedom Struggle.Let the Indian Government decides the best possible solution without harming the status quo of the region.

Post independence, the Siliguri assembly constituency for the West Bengal Assembly was repeatedly won by the Gorkha League- as the name suggests, a political party of Nepali speaking people. Now it is won by Bengali supported parties like CPM clearly due to the very large influx of Bengali speaking refugees from East Pakistan / Bangladesh. Therefore please get your facts correct before commenting. The British annexed the land from Sikkim / Nepal along with the Nepali speaking poeple. Please refer to the Treaty of Sughauli with Nepal and also the Treaty with the Sikkim king.

The promise is fake, neither Darzeeling will be Switzerland nor Kolkata would be London, she is promising a lot for becoming the C.M. of Bengal. Everybody knows the railways does not have any funds to make new projects.
She will make Darjiling another Kashmir. If she becomes CM of Bengal what she can do there? She cannot give employment to all, she is against the land reforms so nothing you can expect from her. She will do what other congress leaders are doing - she will loot the Bengal.
