indian govt should be auction off to the highest bidder. we know the gandhis will try to corrupt the auction in order to be the highest bidder; all politicians are off limits.
I have been on all Indian airports and once I went to Colombo,Sri Lanka, I am amazed. The Bandaranaike International Airport is better than any International Airport in India. There service is superb.

Why do you think ALL government employees are lazy? The amount of work some people do is amazing. My dear friend, the country wouldn't run if the government employees had been "lazy". Stop generalizing.

every govt job is a point of corruption, bottleneck, red tape, paperwork, arrogance on and on. all public enterprises should be auctioned off and the govt employees sent to mongolia if we want to see india at its very best.

The country would have run better if the govt employees were not lazy and corrupted.
hyderabad-1st in 5-15 million passenger category; delhi -4th in 25-40 million passenger category; mumbai -2nd in 15-25 million passenger category; however in overall airport ranking combining all categories first 5 are: 1-incheon airport(south korea) 2-changi(singapore) 3-hongkong 4-beijing 5-shanghai(pudong) that means all 5 from asia & of these 3 from china.

The fact that went unnoticed here is Hyderabad Airport dropped from 5th best in overall airport ranking compared to last year. It is also important to maintain the standards.

SOME PEOPLE ARE BORN SADIST , YOU ARE ONE OF THEM
You can boast of cuisines in other airlines ,,but JET AIRWAYS cuisine (yes hot and Indian) scored very well with just not Indians but Foreigners as well
You can throw billions and built a 7 star hotel ,,but Taj Mahal built a hundred years ago is still the best
so dear friends airport vibe and other factors are important too
do u guys know Kingfisher airline is rated good for Flight attendant service
Singapore Airline is so stamped in the minds and Changi airport as well ,,which I do not dispute at all ,,for most people ,,they refuse to look merits in other airlines
Re: JET AIRWAYS food is unmatched
by rama anne on Feb 17, 2011 12:06 PM
NEW DELHI has a sand stone RED FORT QUTAB MINAR etc it also got Chandini Chowk and best Parathas that can be eaten on streets
so will a whole package as a city is valued for just one terminal
A small nation with international standards and boasts for its best quality of service in airport and to the people who live there.........compared to singapore airport we are nowhere placed not even 50% the way they treat passengers are too good.......asusual security measures come 1st....if u go there without right things they suggest you the possiblity to enter singapore..........the best and sweetest thing is the immigration where each person hardly spends not more than 5 mins........whoever it may be.......things happen just in a jiffy including visa processing everything........indian airports has a long way to go........boasting unwantedly with lot of drawbacks on them......there is no charges for entering singapore airport to give send off for your friends and relatives......whereas for minimal quality airports in india we pay them for giving sendoff...........too pathetic........

Hi Biker Boney indias Bangalore International airport has links to passenger blogs I have read them all that includes Ameicans and Indians who have flown to India
Lots of them appreciated the airport too check it out
Re: Re: singapore

@bikerboy you said below ,,if you went to changi without a passport and visa etc they treat you good
I mean why will someone go to an airport without a passport in the first place
Also did u know they take any rules violations very seriously too (read news about some passengers and the punishment they got
I have visited JET AIRWAYS website many passengers thanked for the front office staff for their service as well
Re: singapore
by rama anne on Feb 17, 2011 11:42 AM
Bikerboney Singapore is a small country ,,but had Changi airport for a very long time
whereas Indias IGIA is only at the most 6-10 months Old
Hyd airport is only 2 years old
Mumbai domestic is new so is other aiports in India like Ahmedabad ,,Goa etc
It will take time to bring them upto a great standard
Did you know JET airways is slowly gaining ground with International passengers whereas its Domestic is already a Favourite among Indians and others foreigners who visit India
Likewise NEW DELHI METRO is also new and first in India ,,whereas London ,seoul ,,Madrid etc already have such trains for 20 or more years
INDIA will not change in a day ,,it will takes course While I want india to become better ,, I hate comparisions too
Re: Re: singapore
by bikerbony on Feb 17, 2011 12:07 PM
dear all,
what ever inputs u have mentioned still please understand its the wrong indian officials who show their authority in front of passenger in at the immigration.......i have seen live in all the airports mentioned by rediff as mumbai delhi and hyd........the immigration officials behave such pathetic that they take minimum 30 mins of time to clear off a single passenger......think that way guys.......we boast for our software outsourcing strengh across the world.......but where are we in terms of quality with in the country.........
@rama overall from your statement i can agree the last point...india will not change in a day......but this is what we keep on saying since aug 15th 1947? singapore was worst hit in the 1960s now where are they? they are just 68 miles in their landscape didnt they acheive coz of quality in the governance with 0% corruption?
U might not like comparisions.....but truely u have agree with facts......beliving india is welathy doesnt acheive success......cooperation is the key which we never had from our goverment levels.......
U want india to become better.......but think well whether the leaders are better........corruption is playing cabrey dance all around us.......

Rama you got all right except for one error ! Delhi Metro is not the first Metro in India but it is Kolkata Metro which is more tha 30 years older and the actual tube railway completely underground whereas most of the tracks in Delhi are overground.
both the above airports have been constructed, maintained and revenue is being collected by M/s g.v.reddy.mumbai airport has a lot to be desired(surprised to see it come 2nd in its category{15-25 million passengers}),hyderabad is good, maybe best in the 5-10 million passenger category. seems that M/s reddy has bribed the agency conducting the survey/poll,or only indians(that too domestic airline passengers) participated in the poll.
Re: hyderabad- yes,mumbai-no
by rama anne on Feb 17, 2011 11:55 AM
for u everything is a bribe I mean eveything we can never convince u at all You will also not apprecaite ISRO moon mission ,,for that you will say something as well

My dear Jugalbandi, You are linking both these airports with GVK. Let me make it clear. Hyderabad airport is GMR's and Mumbai is GVK's. OK...
