Being Born Rich is Not a Crime
by senth on Feb 20, 2011 08:18 PM

And Born Poor is Not Holy.

Indian movies have done a great disservice to India, by always portraying rich people as bad, and poor as good.

I actual life we regularly find jokers in all categories.

That is why no Indian trust Indian corporates and their charity
by ashutosh gupta on Feb 18, 2011 09:30 AM  | Hide replies

Herein Corporates do Charity and collect donations from public to which public do also participate in.

Back home, if Reliance comes and ask us for some donation then we always think that the same money would go to its founder or their children's pocket. Whereas if Bill Gates ask here for donation, one knows he is not going to store it for his kid.
True professionalism lacks in India in every sphere. We are creatures with corruption, nepotism and 'jugad' running in our blood.

the reason why india is doing better because there is such a tremendous competition within middle class and because of that, it automatically becomes the most competitive class in the whole world and so makes a name for himself and country within India itself and also abroad.

This is the fact our corporate & political league should understand. We are not growing because of our merit but two negative aspects have become positive for us.
1.Population (middle class & BPL)
2.English language

we are the only country in the world who use English as official language other than Philippians.

There's no professional style in the top management
by Shri Hegde on Feb 18, 2011 07:52 AM

like CongI party, the person born in the family inherits the power. It's ok for them to be in Board of directors as their parents are significant shareholders, but putting them at the top of management is de-moralizing to the other capable/aspiring executives.

Real worth of rich class people's children...
by anwar mirza on Feb 18, 2011 04:50 AM  | Hide replies

They all get a quota in Ivy Leagues and other Elite Institutions in the US/West

Akshata Murthy - studies at Stanford
Rohan Murthy - studiies at Harvard
Rishad Premji - Studied at Harvard
Son of Ramadorai - also at Harvard
Mukesh Ambani - got a chance at Stanford - dropped out
Anil Ambani - Wharton Business school

And now Roshni Nada, Sidharth Mallya, Godrej.

My question is - are these children really that much capable so as to make it to elite institutes in US/abroad?

Yes, top universities have quotas for students from rich families. They are euphemestically called "legacy admissions". Sounds better than management quota, doesn't it?

Why u idiots always think- rich can't be intelligent.
Mukesh Ambani GOT in IIT Delhi textile engineering. Left after two month & joined UDCT chemical engineering (supposed to be best i India for chemical & only board toppers get admission there). In fact mukesh ambani was 5th ranker in Mahrastra board exam.
Now some of u idiots will consider him as intelligent as he could make to IIT/UDCT.
There are many rich people who are equally intelligent.
Being born in rich family is not a crime. I still remember one of my classmate (who was son of an industrilaist) scored 750 in GMAT & did MBA from wharton.
So generalising anything is not good.
In India it become fashion to link intelligence with poorness which is not correct.
Only diffrence is poor workd harder for their survival.
