clueless govt
by kieran dsouza on Feb 13, 2011 02:26 PM

this clueless govt is good only for one thing: How to squeeze more taxes out of honest citizens and transfer the proceeds to Swiss Banks. Hene my suggestion:

If you are clueless to control inflation then give tax relief to the masses. No income tax on income earners up to 5 Lakh tax bracket.

Due to today's double digit inflation, middle class has become poor again, we are losing money keeping in FDs etc

Days are not far away when farmers will stop producing and become NREGA workers, because that is giving more income, less risk(crop failure, lack of price) and less effort(nrega works require just 3 hours work/day).Let us see how the govt will import food grains and support the 2kg/free rice schemes..

Let me suggest...

What we lack is planned growth and storage for smooth distribution of food supplies. Our reliance is just too much on old way of distribution chain, which still have players who believe in making quick profit by creating artificial shortage of food supply.

what we need is:
1. Strict law against creating artificial supply
2. Well defined channels for food distribution
3. Future prediction and timely preparation for expected short supplies
4. All rounded support to farmers to make sure organic farming is followed which yield more production without harming the nature

If i remember right, MMS became PM because his only qualification was that he was a top-notch economist who will make India into a land of milk and Honey. If he is clueless now, why is he required, just for milking the country ??

MMS is now part of the kickback and black money system, the reason Sonia/dynasty was installed after removing PVNR, same reason why Lal Bahadur shastri was removed and Indira was installed.

MMS is now a super duper Docter.

Improve Food Productivity

The three obvious steps to balance mismatch b/w demand & supply are : (a) waiving import taxes on food items/grains; (b) Maintain sufficient stockpile; and (c) prevent hoarding. These have possibly been resorted to.

As for productivity increase, besides aiming at "high yielding seeds" we must look for and encourage development of FERTILSER/PLANT NUTRIENT ALTERNATIVES that can improve yield. Mention should be made of the 'NANOTECHNOLOGY IN AGRICULTURE' CONFERENCE on 21/22 of this month in HYDERABAD which will shower great ideas in this regard. Herein lies our FUTURE.

People feel the pain due to increasing staple food prices. We, consumers, have to adjust our calories and when it becomes difficult we unleash our anger. This can have serious effects leading to turmoil. Hasty decisions likely to exacerbate the problems need avoidance.

We are also in for a global rise in prices of specially: Rice, and Grains. Supplies could be squeezed in about few months from now.Add to this the devaluation of the Dollar and significant increase in food related commodity prices stare at us. Global weather pattern shift change the rain pattern. La Nina caused already heavy rains in Australia & Brazil and altered monsoons in India & East Coast. Result will be an imbalance b/w world supply & demand during the latter part of this year. We also need to be prepared for that. Likelihood of "s
