For the uninformed

Kizashi was built with Audi and BMW as benchmarks and was built to take on an Audi A4 in terms of handling and was tested and proven in Nurburgring race course in germany. I repeat handling not luxury and features. So people who say it is pathetic car has no idea. But their pricing and CBU strategy is poor. The company itself says it is going a bit slow with kizashi post recession. Good car from a badge that is know more for cheaper low end cars. For the doubting ones, pl do go on youtube and search for kizashi nurburgring.

overpriced car

Kizashi is way overpriced in India. In USA it costs 11 lakhs only. Being fully imported in India as it is CBU it attracts 100% customs duty. So it comes around to 17 lakhs here. half of the amount you are just paying to the govt as tax. Its only for rich people with black money. Had they built this car here or even assembled it as a CKD unit it would have costed 12 lakhs. Bad strategy by Maruti as they have all the facilities to manufacture cars here

True. I guess they are not sure if maruti releasing a luxury car will sell in India where badge prestige is very high.
