Whatever the competitors say, Maruti is the first vehicle who brought style to India when Fiats and Ambassadors were the only cars seen by Indians on the road.
they should have compared with, Camry, Accord, Passat, Superb. In this segment Kizashi is little cheap but I rather pay a lac more and get a Superb or even an Accord. Maruti should have got this car with 1.8 engine and priced it around 12 lacs to give civc, laura, altis, superb, jetta a run for thier money.
in this segment this not many will prefer Kizashi at this price. The have made the same mistake when they launched Baleno & Old Vitara by trying to place it one segment up with a higher price. M

Superb is honestly a waste of money for cheap vehicle. Couldnt you pay a couple more lakhs and get a BMW ?. Actually kizashi is better than an accord in many ways and lesser in many ways. Not black and white.

lesser said about laura the scam the better. Jetta is in the same class as civic. So kizashi is meant to compete with one class above that eventhough it is not as spacious.
This car will be flop. In kerala petrol car sales has come down a lot. People prefer Diesel car now because
1. Diesel is 30% cheaper 2. More mileage for Diesel engines 3. Maintenance is almost same now for petrol and diesel cars. 4. Now more refined Diesel engines are coming out. Less noise and less maintenance

In the longer run Diesel may become costlier than petrol in India as Diesel consumption has increased considerably in the country due to onslaught of Diesel vehicles in the market.
