Perfectly said. The ability to trick either the govt or the people and make money for themselves by any means is very much in their (Ambanis) genes. No surprise they had the most tainted reputation in the mid-80s.

In trading of Equities, one man's profit is another man's loss. Mostlythe big players make profit and other people lose in the long run, bcz the former hv lot of muscle power.

What were you doing watching them dwindle in value? Reason why people lose money is that they don't book profits. Always have a target in mind and always play with stop loss. You can still exit and save the remaining 50% of your savings and reinvest once the market bottoms out. Go strictly on technicals and very strong fundamentals, instead of punter calls.

Bottom point cant be predicted. If I exit now I may not get chance to buy it back without loss. That is Indian equity market. I invested at a safe period of bottom level. From that safe level it nosedived. The only way to escape loss is stay investor till the market reaches good level. Much patience required and necessities should not perturb.

Cut you losses. Dont hold for bigger losses. Sell them now, else gravity will pulll sensex to its natural level e.g BSE @5000
