1.Liquidate the whole airline for some time. 2.Re-employ staff who are willing to so sign the contract drafted in line with airline of developing countries like vietnam, cambodia, trukmenistan, kazakasthan etc. 3.Roster must be not as relaxed as of now. There should be no free tickets to employees but bonus money if there is any profit. 4.Remove all the flight crew who are unfit as some of the ladies are overweight like sumo wrestlers. 5.There are 5000 unemployed pilots in India and many more are in the air force.Train and recruit them initially as co-pilots and after months as full scale pilots. Employ them with salaries like they pay in Pakistan, Iran or say Kazakasthan or simply recruit them from east europe where there are many who are flying at less than a quater of the salary what air india pays. 6. Do not force government employees to fly by air india only. Why a government employee should fly by air India and pay double or triple the fare? Why can they not get to fly with other airlines if the fare is lower? 7.To implement all these and more all unions must be disbanded forthwith.
I was treated like an animal by AI staff. They were so rude to me. I am happy to see the employees of AI having their salaries held back. They deserve to be punished.
I love Air India,there is nothing wrong with the aviation company,problem is with corrupt politicians of the country.If we butcher them all,Air India will become a profit making company.
1.I find Air India air hostesses very decent and very dignified.
2.No Air lines in Asia provide such good food to its passengers for even a distance of 1 1/2 hrs as provided by Air India.
This loss figures etc are for selling this company and for getting kick-backs in return...

I agree. No airline would give free food on short-haul flights. It's the politicians who have used AI has their taxi-cabs. I feel sad for the national carrier :(

If you don't find anything wrong, then probably you have flown one of the American or European airlines. Try using any airline in East Asia and you will find the difference. Just look at Air India web site, it is ugly, slow and does not work. Nobody picks up phones. Inside aeroplane, toilets are filthy, air-hostesses ignore the call button, economy class passengers are seated in business/first class if they have acquaintances and flights are cancelled if some politicians want to fly. The list goes on and on, please check the air india reviews online.

Exactly...the emplyees of AI spend much time in unionbazi rather than serving the customers...infact even today they get more salary than what actually they should get...even the gr D employees earn a lot in lieu doing almost nothing....tey should learn that unions are only to exploit them and kill their working tenacity..even I know one person who was isolated by unions as he was workoholic...half their salaries....that is what they deserve

only bloody airindia can not make any profit! even airlines in the neighbouring countries make profit. almost all pvt airlines in india make profit. the answer is clear here... the employees of airindia behave like typical govt employee and they dont do any work. first of all terminate all gandmothers from the job of air hostess. i never seen any 'buddy' airhostess in any airlines. Air india is feeding such people without any reasons. Getting a job in the govt is the problem... once you are in, you are safe. nobody can terminate you! thats the curse of all govt companies in the country. also airindia is charging double rate for all gulf travelers. even though they are in LOSS!!!

These all loss figures are for declaring it bankrupt and making way for selling it to private company and for getting huge kick back in Maino's swiss accounts.
It is not only Air India ,the Govt of India is responssible for all those PSU's running in loss. Take for example HMT , such wonderful company has been turned into a graveyard.Why should GOI put their interference when they dont give them any monetery support.Great PSU's are being turned into loss making simply by bad policies of GOI.It needs to be changed.
