Buy farm lands to become an entrepreneur.
1. You can employ hundreds of people.
2. You need not pay income tax.

Population control business
by VijaySagar on Feb 04, 2011 04:30 PM

We need entrepreneurs who can help devise methods to bring an end to this obscene population growth, especially among those who can even afford to take care of themselves, or who dont have a home..there is no other solution..poverty exists in India because it is fashionable to be poor, or because our politicians want it.

It is stupid to say that Entrepreunership is bad for the society. In fact, lack of it can be worse. Imagine yourself still relieving every morning in a pot that is carried off by another poor man. Innovation and marketing of innovation through entrepreunership is the only way to make the lives of billions of people better. While every innovator and entrepreuner wants a reward for his success, the problem occurs when this need for reward takes a greedy turn. The gap between need and greed is often blurred, but it is important that society recognises the achievement of entrepreuners so that they dont just follow wealth blindly. Unlike developed countries, why dont we see governance in the hands of smart entrepreuners? Why is it that a person who helps a poor farmer develop a better method for irrigation or improved fertilizer never becomes a corporator or MLA while only the ones that talk about local caate and religion get elected?

what?
by abhishek agarwal on Feb 04, 2011 04:08 PM

This aricle talks about how enterprenurs can make India a superpower. What it does not discuss is that how the enterpreneurs are making Indians poorer and themselves richer everyday. U look at ANY industry in India, there are no rules that ensure accountability of these big indstrialists. No laws regarding the quality of their service. And even if there are laws, it does not ensure speedy justice by establishment of special courts to try these matters. Tera kya hoga India?

If you think you really understand india then you would probably not take the risk of chasing this topic. The basic amenities arent in reach of a common man and this great soul speaks of super power !!! What a shame, a person of this caliber doesnt understand INDIA.

No Sustainable Growth
by ranjit sahoo on Feb 04, 2011 03:52 PM  | Hide replies

INDIA's economy do not stand on a sustainable growth foundation. Rather it has some very valuable Raw Materials such as IRON, COPPER etc. which is pulling these Multi nationals here. Our enterprenuers still don't invest in the research segment. They only make money by using the almost free raw materials and poor manpower.
Therefore, after few years, there will be no RAW Materials left and manpower will become costly due to inflation. So the profit will die down and the INDIA Growth story wud also be a history then.
We should upgrade out industry to support our core competence i.e. Agriculture not to convert our Agri lands into industry and business centres/malls etc.
Very soon we will be in great deal of need for these lands than anything else.
I am not speculating, I am sure of it. Because, the way our enterprises have set their mind its not a healthy sign. They are scared or in a better word IGNORE the importance of research i.e. key to anykind of growth or rather sustainable growth. Our main intects such as IITians & IIMians are moving out to places where, cos understand the great req of develeopment based research works to sustain their growth.
So, the green on our face is not long lived rather we have to choose GREEN in place of these industrialisation..........

ranjit,
I understand your concerns about conversion of agri land in industial land. You are also right when you say that Indian cos. are not investing in research but....

we are not in 70s and 80s today - agriculture and industrial sectors filled 85% of our GDP in those days.
From mid nineties the SERVICE SECTOR IS DRIVING OUR GROWTH.
IT, ITES sectors showed us the way from mid nineties to 2005. Post 2005 industrial sector started looking up, TELECOM saw exponetial growth and few iternational aquisitions by Indian corps. broght valuable growth in GDP.
The new economy sectors like Telecom, Retail and Service sector are the real drivers of our growth engine today, SO THE ARGUMENT OF RAW MATERIAL GETTING OVER IS NOT RIGHT.
I agree though that ONLY reserach bring big money in the decades to come.

Dear Viswa, Its true that present trend is through IT and IT related sector. But IT as sector does not exist, it is just an process applied to other industries. So, when their wud be no Iron Al Oes available No coals available what will be the fate of these industries and their supporting IT Cos. Moreover, why we are not putting enough effort to develope our Agri sector, Bcoz our Politicians don't want it. Now we r marketing PIZZAS so we dont have time to look at paddy fields. I am not against Industrialization, but I believe Industries only up to a point to support our living not livelyhood.
