These are businessman and they do business all over the world and do a lot of illegal trading right from the mines of diamond to the polished diamond embedded in jewllary. Their source of income may not necessarily be from India and they might have evaded tax regulations of the countries where they are residing or their offices are operating. This is useless revealation and will only fizzle stock market nothing else. Real list will be from wikileaks.

100% agreed. This list has come out because there are no Congressis on the List but small time tax evaders .The total amount in all these accounts is less than 52 crore none of this probably from any big scams recent or past.
The real list which will involves most of the top leaders of Congress and their relatives is deeply hidden (most of theie money in Swiss bank accounts) and will be the real list amounting to lakhs of crores.
Currently these same people are busy in moving their accounts to other countries and places so the government will not pursue it actively now (like recent excuse of treaty obligations,...) .
Only after most of the accounts get moved,closed then the Govt will give list and then say see there is no illegal money in Swiss banks.
These Congressis know how to fool the people and loot to the maximum possible.
Indians who are holding foreign passports have been given the priviledges such as OCI card etc which allows them to do illegal transctions between two countries, India and their adopted countries. This must stop. All those Indians who are holding foreign passport should be treated lke foreigners. No more extra priviledges please. Stop granting OCIs/PIOs, otherwise people like Nadeem who was accused in Gulshan kumar murder case is still hiding in UK.

NRI's - what harm have they done to you dear? The problem is not really with working with companies floated in tax havens but the real problem is corruption and the size of scams. ok ......... take a situation in which you even pay your tax .......... what's next. The money is swindled around by the corrupt politicians and the babus and so we work hard and they loot us - its a serious white collar offense.

Man u r not in real world, do you know how many familes are living comofortably because of people like u and me paying taxes and still sending to just meke our parents happy. if u just genralize and talk like thsi it si not good. You are paying taxes and am payng taxes but our moeny s swindled. nstead of going to the root cause u just say ban piio card and all. These guys ncluding a small labourer workng iin gulf sends money to India he wll not put it in some safe haven. majority of these PIO cars and all went abroad because of lack of basis structure and looked for better avenues at the same tiime they did not forget the people left behind they still do t for them. there are lots of people lving as amasssadors and trying to get ndias point of view across and at the same time they are dong good for the betterment of ther famlies. How came RSS in between? These Mehta's are Gujaratis, that doesnt mean they are RSS supporters. This article already mentions their proximity to Sharad Pawar etc. Dont get hyper when someone asks about other potential black money launders like Gandhi family, Maran or Karunanidhi etc.
