Yes congress has taken all steps...
All ministers are in Jail...
India has recovered 2L crores...
PM has quit, Raja, Chavan...Kalmadi are in jail...

There is a lot of difference in taking and "action" and actually doing something...
what about Rahul Baba's $2.2. B in swiss bank?
what about black money?

Raja is arrested by CBI(congress bureau of Investigation) he is not charge-sheeted...

all whats happening is just consolation steps...its not concrete...

and i agree that BJP should do something of that CM

Do we have to be shameful on ourselves for electing culprits?
by Aftab Sameer on Feb 06, 2011 12:45 PM

What a mess India has become, corruption everywhere, there used to be a great respect and highest regards for our judicial system but now the judiciaries are named in scams etc.

Many of us feel that electing BJP in the centre will end this but as we are noticing in Karnataka, MP and elsewhere, BJP is also involved in Scams, corruption, hate towards certain communities/groups etc.

We even cant do Egypt like boycott here b'coz we don't have an alternate to fight for, Congress is looting in the centre and BJP is looting in the states, whom do we support?

I wish some honest people among us with enthusiasm, willingness and decent understanding of politics come up as an alternative to these corrupt politicians.

I strongly believe if politicians regardless of their party and industrialists regardless of their affiliations being investigated for unaccounted wealth and brought to justice, Our Country will be far ahead of US or UK Economically and we will have to search for countries to distribute surplus wealth.

I hope my message will reach the rightful hearts who are concerned about our beloved Country India.

Direct Consensus democracy
by abhishek mawle on Feb 06, 2011 12:36 PM  | Hide replies

Direct Consensus democracy

The advent of Electronic Voting Machine, Internet, Mobile phones etc. We can easily bring direct consensus democracy through Electronic Voting Machine/Internet/Mobile Phone etc to India as is done in Switzerland successfully for the past several years since 1890. The need of the hour for most of the democracies across the world is to transition from representative democracy to Direct Consensus democracy.

1.)      I have a suggestion for it by introducing a new constitution with bicameral parliament like the one we have right now. Important difference would be the upper house would comprise of engineers, graduates, post graduates, doctors, arts, commerce, finance and other qualified experts from various fields and walks of life who would be duly elected by graduates across the country in election over internet by use of Virtual Private Network set up by election commission of India.

2.)      The lower house would comprise of elected representatives elected by rest of the people in the same way. In order to pass a law, legislation or bill both the houses need to agree by simple majority.

3.)      In case they do not then the bill is not passed.

4.)      In case the bill is passed and the people are satisfied it will become law.

5.)      If people are dissatisfied they can get a referendum by getting signatures of 50,000 citizens and then invitation for suggestion or recommendation from citizens from all parts of India would be invited on a national website, top 10 popular suggestion would be judged by calling graduate citizens across the country to vote on them after deciding the top 10 suggestions.

6.)      The top 10 suggestion can be put to referendum and both groups of graduate citizens comprising of engineers, graduates, post graduates, doctors, arts, commerce, finance, other qualified experts from various fields and rest of the people have to rate the suggestions on a 0- 10 scale and the suggestion that gets maximum points in both the groups of citizens will become the law, legislation or bill and the earlier law/laws is to be replaced with it. In case if there is a disagreement between graduate citizens and rest of the citizens then the whole district/state/country will vote either to accept/refuse the initiative this would be final if it gets 70% votes majority and can only be overturned by a similar initiative after a gap of at least 6 months.

7.)      The citizens will have the universal power to create/amend/delete any law by following the above-mentioned process at any point of time.

8.)      The citizens will have the power to recall any government official whether elected/selected or appointed including Judges.

9.)      To suspend Lower Grade Public servant from office 1,000 votes are required

12.)      The employee then has the option to appeal the same in the state High Court which again can then either allow or dismiss petition.

13.)      The employee then has the option to appeal the same in the Supreme Court, which again can then either allow or dismiss petition.

14.)      Not withstanding anything said above the employee himself can propose an initiative for his reinstatement by getting 3,000/7,000/10,000 signatures of citizen either for district /state/Country initiative at any point of time before the Local/High/Supreme Court has delivered Judgment. In case the employee has received an adverse judgment in his case then based on the court which gave the judgment, the aggrieved employee needs to bring an initiative at district level if local court has delivered the verdict, similarly at state level or national level if the verdict was delivered by High Court or Supreme Court.

15.)      In case either Local/High/Supreme Court allows the employee case then the employee is reinstated.

16.)      In case the Citizens are not happy with the decision they can bring an initiative to overturn the Local Court’s decision by obtaining 3,000 signatures of citizens as district initiative. If the decision is passed by High Court then 7,000 signatures of citizens as State initiative. If the decision is passed by Supreme Court then 10,000 signatures citizens as National initiative to overturn the respective courts decision.

17.)      Once the initiative gets required signatures then the employee and his opponents need to present their case in writing and then have a debate on the national media for two consecutive Sundays in which citizens can ask questions by either calling or emailing their queries and have the option to constitute an expert committee to probe or any other scientific/legal process to understand the case matter. After having a national media debate the citizens will cast their votes in 1 week to decide the issue and will be decided on the basis of point no.18.

18.)      Once the national debate is over then both graduate citizens comprising of engineers, graduates, post graduates, doctors, arts, commerce, finance and other qualified experts from various fields group and rest of the citizens group need to either accept or refuse the initiative. In case if there is a disagreement between graduate citizens and rest of the citizens then the whole district/state/country will vote either to accept/refuse the dismissal of employee would be final if it gets 70% votes majority and can only be overturned by a similar initiative after a gap of at least 6 months.

19.)      In case if by any chance all the above do not give a clear mandate the benefit of doubt will be in favor of suspended employee and he will be reinstated to his job.

33.)      There will be an armory for every 1,00,000 people armed with guns, rocket launchers, fighter aircrafts, Bullet Proof Jackets and all other latest armaments used in war and this institution will have a separate budget for procuring armaments, in case the country is taken over by a dictator or in case of emergency. It is advisable for the country to decide by vote before the citizens to get armed but in case the possibility to vote is reduced or the voting process to be fair is difficult then 70,000 citizens will assemble with their ID cards in front of the armory, sign the register for receipt of weapons and get armed for facing the emergency. Once the emergency is over the citizens must place the weapons they received during emergency back in armory in three week time after the country decides by voting that emergency is over, failing which they would be seized from them and they would have to face imprisonment up to 5 years. These armories will have a staff of 5000 each and will always be headed by people elected by citizens and can be removed by process in which majority in both graduate citizens comprising of engineers, graduates, post graduates, doctors, arts, commerce, finance, other qualified experts from various fields and rest of the people. 34.)      Although this system might not solve all the problems but will solve most of them that are plaguing our country now and more importantly it makes politicians and bureaucrats more accountable. Further this system also provides a necessary relief valve or people to express their aspirations in the form of initiatives.
